Quick answer: Gong is the most complete conversation and revenue intelligence platform, sold by quote with a per-user licence plus a platform fee. Salesloft (which merged with Clari in December 2025 and absorbed Clari Copilot, formerly Wingman) and Chorus by ZoomInfo are the main enterprise alternatives, and Clari Forecast remains the forecasting specialist. For published prices, Avoma (from $19 per seat a month plus a $29 conversation intelligence add-on), Fireflies.ai (conversation intelligence on its $19 Business plan) and Sybill (free plan; paid from $30 per user) are the affordable picks, and Jiminny is a quote-based mid-market option. Prices are vendor-published or attributed to Vendr’s buyer data, checked September 2026.
Conversation intelligence software records sales calls and meetings, transcribes them and turns what was said into coaching, deal and forecast signals. The category has changed fast. Clari and Salesloft are now one company. Highspot has become part of Seismic. Gong now calls itself a “Revenue AI OS.” Meanwhile, meeting assistants like Fireflies have moved up into sales analytics at a fraction of the price.
This guide explains what these tools do, how conversation intelligence differs from revenue intelligence, what each vendor costs, and how Gong compares with Chorus and with Highspot, the two matchups buyers search for most.
What Is Conversation Intelligence Software?
Gong defines conversation intelligence as “AI-powered technology that automatically captures, transcribes, and analyzes business conversations” across calls, meetings and emails, turning “unstructured communication into structured, actionable data.” In practice, a conversation intelligence tool joins your Zoom, Teams or Meet calls (or pulls recordings from your dialer), then gives you:
- searchable transcripts and AI summaries;
- talk-time, question and topic analytics for coaching;
- tracking of competitors, pricing mentions and objections across every call;
- automatic CRM updates and follow-up email drafts.
Conversation Intelligence vs Revenue Intelligence
The two terms overlap, and most vendors here now sell both.
- Conversation intelligence is about the calls themselves: recording, transcription, analysis and coaching.
- Revenue intelligence combines that conversation data with CRM, email and activity data to judge deal health and forecast revenue. Salesloft’s definition: “Revenue intelligence uses automation and machine learning algorithms to extract insights from sales calls, CRMs, and other sales data sources,” and it “is mostly about deal intelligence and insights on closing more deals to get more revenue.” Gong describes revenue intelligence platforms as ones that “provide comprehensive visibility into buyer relationships and engagement activity across all touchpoints.”
If you mostly need coaching and call notes, a conversation intelligence tool is enough. If sales leadership needs a forecast built from activity data, you are shopping for revenue intelligence: Gong, Clari Forecast inside Salesloft, or Avoma’s revenue intelligence add-on.

The Best Conversation Intelligence Tools, Reviewed
1. Gong: best all-round revenue intelligence platform
Gong records and analyses calls, meetings and emails, then layers forecasting (Gong Forecast), engagement (Gong Engage) and enablement (Gong Enable) on top. In April 2025 it launched more than a dozen AI agents, including an AI Deal Monitor, AI Call Reviewer and AI Trainer, and in June 2026 it added a “Revenue Harness” for building custom agents. It supports calls in 70+ languages.
Pricing: quote-only. Gong’s pricing page says “Licenses are priced per user” and “There is a platform fee based on the number of users supported.” Vendr’s buyer data puts the median Gong contract at $55,333 a year, and Vendr estimates $1,200 to $2,400 per seat a year before add-ons. There is no free plan or trial. Our Gong pricing guide breaks down the platform fee and seat costs. Buyers considering other options can compare Gong alternatives on Spotsaas.
2. Chorus by ZoomInfo: best if you already buy ZoomInfo data
ZoomInfo announced its acquisition of Chorus.ai on July 13, 2021, for about $575 million in cash. Chorus is now positioned as “Conversation Intelligence for Sales” inside the ZoomInfo platform: call recording and transcription, deal intelligence that captures contacts and syncs to the CRM, coaching, and market intelligence connected to ZoomInfo’s company and contact data. There is no public price; Vendr lists Chorus as a premium add-on to ZoomInfo contracts without a separate figure. It makes most sense for teams already on ZoomInfo; see Apollo vs ZoomInfo for the data side.
3. Salesloft Conversation Intelligence: best inside a sales engagement platform
Salesloft and Clari announced their merger on August 7, 2025 and completed it on December 3, 2025, with Steve Cox as CEO. On September 2, 2026 the combined company moved to a single Salesloft brand; only Clari Forecast keeps the Clari name. Clari’s conversation intelligence product, Copilot (originally Wingman, which Clari bought in 2022), now redirects to Salesloft Conversation Intelligence.
The product “automatically records, transcribes, and analyzes every sales call,” adds real-time battlecards and AI follow-up emails, and updates the CRM. Its advantage is living in the same platform as Salesloft’s cadences and dialer. Pricing is quote-only; Vendr’s Salesloft data shows a median contract of $30,740 a year across all Salesloft products, and estimates that conversation features add 20% to 40% to base costs. More detail in our Salesloft pricing guide.
4. Clari Forecast: best for forecasting accuracy
Clari built its name on revenue forecasting, and Clari Forecast survives as a named product inside Salesloft. clari.com now redirects to salesloft.com, and Clari’s old pricing URL points to a Salesloft demo page. Vendr’s Clari data shows a median contract of $76,000 a year, priced on per-user licences plus platform fees for enterprise deployments. Existing Clari buyers searching for “Clari vs Gong” can see the Clari vs Gong comparison.
5. Avoma: best published price for revenue intelligence
Avoma is one of the few vendors here with a full public price list. Recorder seats cost $19 a month on Startup (billed annually; $29 monthly), $24 on Organization ($39 monthly) and $39 on Enterprise (annual only, 10-seat minimum). Conversation intelligence and revenue intelligence are each $29 per seat a month billed annually ($35 monthly) as add-ons. View-only seats are free and unlimited, transcription covers 70+ languages, and the 14-day trial of Organization includes every add-on with no card.
6. Fireflies.ai: best budget option for call analytics
Fireflies.ai started as a meeting note-taker and now includes conversation intelligence (sentiment, question detection, talk-time and topic tracking) on its Business plan: $19 per seat a month billed annually or $29 monthly. Pro is $10 ($18 monthly) and a free plan offers unlimited transcription with limited AI summaries. It lacks forecasting, so it suits teams that want call analytics without a revenue platform. Compare it with other note-takers in Fireflies vs Otter and our best AI meeting assistants guide.
7. Jiminny: best mid-market alternative to Gong
Jiminny covers call recording, an AI note-taker, conversation intelligence, coaching, automated CRM logging and what it calls revenue or “GTM Intelligence.” It has no public pricing page, but its homepage offers a 14-day trial with no card. Vendr’s Jiminny data shows a median contract of $27,000 a year, roughly half Gong’s median. See how it stacks up on Spotsaas’s Gong vs Jiminny page.
8. Sybill: best for AI follow-ups and CRM autofill
Sybill focuses on the post-call admin: AI summaries, follow-up emails and CRM field autofill, with unlimited recordings and 100+ language support on every plan. There is a free plan with 500 credits a week; Pro starts at $30 per user a month and Business at $90, with API and MCP access, deal workspaces and a 14-day trial with no card.
Gong vs Chorus: Which Is Better?
Gong is the broader platform: conversation intelligence plus forecasting, engagement, enablement and a large set of AI agents, sold standalone. Chorus is a conversation intelligence product sold inside ZoomInfo, and its edge is connecting call insights to ZoomInfo’s contact and company data. Choose Gong if you want the deepest call analytics and forecasting in one product and can accept enterprise pricing (Vendr median $55,333 a year). Choose Chorus if you already pay for ZoomInfo and want call data next to your prospect data without a second vendor. Spotsaas’s Chorus vs Gong comparison puts them side by side.
Highspot vs Gong: What’s the Difference?
They solve different problems. Highspot is a sales enablement platform: content management, guided selling, training and coaching. Seismic announced plans to merge with Highspot on February 12, 2026 and completed the merger on August 18, 2026, and the site now reads “Highspot by Seismic.” Highspot does list a conversational intelligence feature, but it is enablement-first. Gong is conversation-first and has moved into enablement with Gong Enable. If your problem is reps not using the right content, start with Highspot; if it is not knowing what happens on calls, start with Gong. See the Gong vs Highspot comparison and our best sales enablement software guide.
How Much Does Conversation Intelligence Software Cost?
- Self-serve tools: $19 to $39 per seat a month on annual billing (Fireflies Business, Avoma plus add-ons, Sybill Pro).
- Enterprise platforms: quote-only, typically annual contracts. Vendr’s median contract values: Gong $55,333, Clari $76,000, Salesloft $30,740 (all products), Jiminny $27,000.
- What drives enterprise price: seat count, a platform fee, add-on modules (forecasting, engagement), contract length and onboarding.
Vendr figures are buyer-reported transaction data, not vendor list prices.
How to Choose Conversation Intelligence Software
- Decide whether you need forecasting. If yes, look at platforms, not note-takers: Gong, Salesloft with Clari Forecast, or Avoma with its revenue intelligence add-on.
- Match your engagement stack. Salesloft customers get conversation intelligence in the same platform; ZoomInfo customers can add Chorus; Outreach has its own call analytics (see Outreach vs Salesloft).
- Count recorder seats separately from viewers. Avoma and Fireflies charge only for people who record, which matters for managers and cross-functional viewers.
- Check languages and call sources. Confirm support for your dialer and video platform and every language your reps sell in.
- Review consent and recording rules for the regions you call, and make sure the tool announces or discloses recording where required.
