What is Azure DevOps?
Azure DevOps is Microsoft's end-to-end DevOps suite, bundling work tracking (Boards), Git hosting (Repos), CI/CD (Pipelines), package hosting (Artifacts) and test management (Test Plans) as services that can be adopted individually or together. Pipelines build and deploy to any cloud and any platform, not only Azure, and run on Microsoft-hosted or self-hosted agents. It is the default in Microsoft-centric enterprises, both because of the Active Directory and Azure integration and because the work tracking side is more capable than most competing platforms — which is also why teams that only want CI/CD often find it heavier than they need.
