What is Argo CD?
Argo CD is the reference GitOps continuous delivery tool for Kubernetes: the desired state of a cluster lives in a Git repository, and Argo CD continuously reconciles the running cluster against it, reporting drift and optionally correcting it automatically. Because Git is the source of truth, deployments become commits and rollbacks become reverts, with an audit trail as a by-product. It is a CNCF graduated project and open source. Its practical caveat is that a sync reporting healthy means the manifest was applied, not that the application works — a distinction that catches teams out.
