Quick answer: HubSpot’s CRM is free for up to 2 users and 1,000 contacts. Paid Starter plans list at $20 per seat per month, with a new-customer offer of $7 per seat on annual billing. Sales Hub and Service Hub Professional cost $90 per seat per month billed annually ($100 paid monthly) plus a one-time $1,500 onboarding fee, and Enterprise is $150 per seat per month, billed annually, plus $3,500 onboarding. Marketing Hub Professional starts at $800 a month for 3 seats and 2,000 marketing contacts, plus $3,000 onboarding. All prices are vendor-published in USD, checked September 2026.
HubSpot is one of the few big CRMs that publishes almost every price, yet it is still hard to work out what you will actually pay. Each product (HubSpot calls them Hubs) has three editions, some editions charge per seat while others charge a monthly base price, Marketing Hub adds a separate contact bill, and Professional and Enterprise plans carry a mandatory one-time onboarding fee.
This guide lays out every Hub’s price on one page, explains how seats, contacts and commitment terms change the bill, and works through costs for teams of 3, 10 and 25 users. Every figure comes from HubSpot’s pricing pages and its Product and Services Catalog, checked September 2026. Worked totals are our own estimates and are labelled as such.
How Much Does HubSpot Cost?
The short version depends on which Hub you need and how big your team is:
- Free: $0 for up to 2 users, with up to 1,000 contacts and lite versions of the marketing, sales, service, content and data tools.
- Starter (any Hub, or all of them bundled): $20 per seat per month at list price. New customers currently see $7 per seat on annual billing or $10 per seat on monthly billing, which HubSpot describes as a limited-time offer.
- Professional: $90 per seat per month for Sales Hub or Service Hub on annual billing, or $800 a month and up for Marketing Hub, $450 for Content Hub and $720 for Data Hub. One-time onboarding of $1,500 to $3,000 applies to Sales, Service and Marketing Hub.
- Enterprise: $150 per seat per month for Sales Hub or Service Hub, $3,600 a month for Marketing Hub, all billed annually, with onboarding of $3,500 to $7,000.
A small sales team on Starter pays tens of dollars a month. A 10-person team on Sales Hub Professional pays around $12,000 in the first year once onboarding is included. Add Marketing Hub Professional and the first-year figure roughly doubles.
HubSpot Pricing Plans at a Glance
The table lists HubSpot’s published starting prices for every Hub. “Annual” means the monthly equivalent when you pay for a year up front; “monthly” is the price when you pay month by month. Enterprise plans are annual only.
| Product | Starter | Professional | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sales Hub | $20/seat list ($7 annual, $10 monthly new-customer offer) | $90/seat annual, $100/seat monthly + $1,500 onboarding | $150/seat, billed annually + $3,500 onboarding |
| Service Hub | $20/seat list ($7 / $10 offer) | $90/seat annual, $100/seat monthly + $1,500 onboarding | $150/seat, billed annually + $3,500 onboarding |
| Marketing Hub | $20/seat list ($7 / $10 offer), 1,000 marketing contacts | $800/mo annual, $890/mo monthly; 3 seats, 2,000 marketing contacts + $3,000 onboarding | $3,600/mo, billed annually; 5 seats, 10,000 marketing contacts + $7,000 onboarding |
| Content Hub | $20/seat list ($7 / $10 offer) | $450/mo annual, $500/mo monthly; 3 seats | $1,500/mo; 5 seats |
| Data Hub (formerly Operations Hub) | $20/seat list ($7 / $10 offer) | $720/mo annual, $800/mo monthly; 1 seat | $2,000/mo; 1 seat |
| Revenue Hub (formerly Commerce Hub) | No Starter edition | $95/seat (offer: $57 with a new Sales Hub purchase) | $140/seat, billed annually (offer: $98 with Sales Hub) |
| Smart CRM (standalone) | $20/seat | $50/seat | $75/seat |
| Customer Platform (all Hubs bundled) | $20/seat list ($7 / $10 offer) | $1,300/mo annual, $1,450/mo monthly; 6 seats | $4,700/mo; 8 seats |
Two naming changes trip people up when they compare older articles. Operations Hub is now Data Hub, and Commerce Hub is now Revenue Hub, with the Commerce Seat renamed the Revenue Seat. The prices above are HubSpot’s current ones, vendor-published and checked September 2026.
What You Get on HubSpot’s Free CRM
HubSpot’s free tools are genuinely free, with no card and no time limit, but the limits are tighter than many older reviews suggest. According to HubSpot’s catalog, free accounts get:
- Up to 2 users. The pricing page is explicit: “Free for up to 2 users.”
- Up to 1,000 contacts and up to 1 million records for other standard objects such as companies and deals.
- Contact, company and deal management, website activity tracking, basic email, meeting scheduling, forms, live chat and reporting dashboards, all with HubSpot branding.
For a founder or a two-person team tracking a few hundred relationships, that is enough. Once a third person needs access, or your database passes 1,000 contacts, you are on a paid plan. The cheapest route at that point is usually a single Starter Hub.
How HubSpot’s Pricing Works
Seat-based and base-price plans
Since March 2024, new HubSpot customers buy seats. Sales Hub, Service Hub and Revenue Hub are priced purely per seat at every edition, “with no additional seat minimums.” Marketing Hub, Content Hub and Data Hub charge per seat at Starter but switch to a monthly base price at Professional and Enterprise, which includes a set number of seats. Extra seats on those base-price plans start at $45 a month (Professional, annual) and $75 a month (Enterprise).
Core, Sales, Service and View-Only seats
HubSpot sells several seat types, and the one each person needs decides the bill:
- Core Seat: access to every product you have bought, at the level of your highest edition, plus Smart CRM and the Breeze AI assistant.
- Sales Seat: full Sales Hub Professional or Enterprise features, such as sequences, forecasting and advanced deal tools. Core access is included.
- Service Seat: full Service Hub Professional or Enterprise features for support agents.
- Revenue Seat: full Revenue Hub features, including advanced quoting (CPQ).
- View-Only and Partner Seats: free, for people who only need to look.
One rule catches mixed setups. If you hold products at different editions, HubSpot prices your Core Seats at your highest edition. Pair Marketing Hub Professional with Sales Hub Enterprise and every Core Seat is billed at the Enterprise level.
Marketing contacts
Marketing Hub has a second meter. You pay for marketing contacts, the people you can send marketing email to or target with ads, while non-marketing contacts are free up to 15 million records. HubSpot’s published contact tiers are:
| Edition | Included | Additional marketing contacts (monthly) |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | 1,000 | $50 per 1,000 up to 3,000; $45 per 1,000 up to 5,000; $40 per 1,000 above that |
| Professional | 2,000 | $250 per 5,000 up to 22,000, falling in steps to $150 per 5,000 above 82,000 |
| Enterprise | 10,000 | $100 per 10,000 up to 50,000, falling in steps to $60 per 10,000 above 500,000 |
Contact tiers only move one way during a contract. You can mark contacts as marketing contacts at any time, and if you exceed your tier you are billed immediately, but HubSpot says your contact tier “cannot be downgraded until your contract renewal date.”
Billing and commitment rules
The billing toggle on HubSpot’s pricing pages hides three different arrangements:
- Starter: pay monthly with a monthly commitment, or pay annually for the lower rate.
- Professional: pay monthly or annually, but the commitment is annual either way. Paying monthly costs about 10% more ($100 against $90 per Sales seat).
- Enterprise: billed annually only.
In practice, Professional and Enterprise are one-year contracts. Plan seat counts around the year ahead, not the next month.
HubSpot Credits
AI agents and some automation features consume HubSpot Credits. Paid plans include a monthly allowance (500 on Starter, 3,000 on Professional and 5,000 on Enterprise, higher on Data Hub and the Customer Platform) that resets monthly and does not roll over. Extra credits cost $0.01 each on pay-as-you-go, or $10 per pack of 1,000 a month. For example, HubSpot’s rate sheet charges 50 credits for each conversation its customer agent resolves.
Hidden Costs: Onboarding, Contacts, Add-Ons and Contract Terms
Mandatory onboarding
HubSpot’s pricing pages state that the listed price “does not include the required, one-time” onboarding fee on these plans:
- Sales Hub Professional: $1,500. Enterprise: $3,500.
- Service Hub Professional: $1,500. Enterprise: $3,500.
- Marketing Hub Professional: $3,000. Enterprise: $7,000.
Buy Sales Hub Professional and Marketing Hub Professional separately and onboarding alone comes to $4,500. The Customer Platform bundles have their own onboarding packages, but HubSpot does not print that fee on the pricing page, so ask for it in writing.
Contact growth
Contact tiers are the cost most likely to grow mid-contract. A Marketing Hub Professional account that grows from 2,000 to 12,000 marketing contacts adds two 5,000-contact blocks at $250 each, about $500 a month on top of the base price. Keep unsubscribed and cold contacts set to non-marketing so they do not count.
Revenue Hub payment fees
If you take payments through HubSpot, US card transactions carry a 2.9% processing fee, ACH is 0.8% capped at $10, and a 0.5% platform fee applies on top (waived for the first year under a current promotion). Using Stripe processing instead carries a 0.75% platform fee.
Add-ons
Features such as extra credits, extra contact records, a dedicated sending IP and additional brands are sold as add-ons. HubSpot AEO, its answer-engine visibility tool, costs $50 a month, or $45 a month paid annually, and is included in Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise.
Promotional pricing
The $7 Starter price is a new-customer offer that HubSpot says is available “for a limited time.” The list price shown next to it is $20 per seat. Budget renewals at $20 unless your order form says otherwise.
What HubSpot Costs for 3, 10 and 25 Users
These are our estimates, built only from HubSpot’s published prices. They exclude taxes, add-ons, credit overages and any discount a sales rep might offer.
| Scenario (estimate) | Setup | Monthly | Year-one total |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3 users, simple pipeline | Sales Hub Starter at list price, 3 seats | $60 | $720 ($252 on the $7 annual offer) |
| 10 users, sales team | Sales Hub Professional, 10 Sales seats, annual | $900 | $12,300 (incl. $1,500 onboarding) |
| 10 users, sales + marketing | Sales Hub Pro (7 seats) + Marketing Hub Pro (3 included seats), annual | $1,430 | $21,660 (incl. $4,500 onboarding) |
| 25 users, sales team | Sales Hub Professional, 25 Sales seats, annual | $2,250 | $28,500 (incl. $1,500 onboarding) |
| 25 users, enterprise sales | Sales Hub Enterprise, 25 Sales seats | $3,750 | $48,500 (incl. $3,500 onboarding) |
For the mixed 10-user team, it is worth pricing the Professional Customer Platform as well. At $1,300 a month annually for 6 seats, plus four extra Core Seats at $45, it comes to about $1,480 a month and includes every Professional Hub. The pricing card does not say how many of the 6 included seats are Sales or Service seats, so confirm the seat mix before you compare it with buying Hubs separately.
Paying month to month raises the Professional figures by about 10%. The 10-user Sales Hub Professional team, for example, would pay $1,000 a month instead of $900.
HubSpot vs Salesforce, Zoho CRM, Pipedrive and monday CRM on Cost
All rival prices below are per user per month from each vendor’s own pricing page, checked September 2026.
| CRM | Free option | Entry paid plan | Mid-tier sales plan |
|---|---|---|---|
| HubSpot | Yes, 2 users | $20 list ($7 annual offer) | $90 annual + $1,500 onboarding |
| Salesforce | Free Suite listed; 30-day trials | $25 Starter Suite | $100 Pro Suite (annual) |
| Zoho CRM | Yes, 3 users | $14 annual / $20 monthly | $23 annual / $35 monthly |
| Pipedrive | 14-day trial | $14 annual / $24 monthly | $59 annual / $79 monthly (Premium) |
| monday CRM | 14-day trial | $12 annual / $18 monthly (3-seat minimum) | $28 annual / $41 monthly (Pro) |
HubSpot’s Starter tier competes on price with anyone, especially during the new-customer offer. The gap opens at Professional, where HubSpot’s $90 seat plus onboarding sits well above Zoho CRM Professional or Pipedrive Premium. Buyers usually justify that premium by using marketing, sales and service on one database. If you only need a sales pipeline, compare features in our Pipedrive vs HubSpot breakdown or the wider HubSpot vs Salesforce vs Zoho comparison.
How Much Does a HubSpot Seat Cost?
It depends on the seat type and edition. A Starter Core Seat lists at $20 a month. A Professional Sales or Service Seat is $90 a month on annual billing or $100 monthly, and an Enterprise Sales or Service Seat is $150. On Marketing, Content and Data Hub Professional, extra Core Seats start at $45 a month annually ($50 monthly), and at Enterprise they start at $75. View-Only Seats are free.
Is HubSpot CRM Actually Free?
Yes, with limits. The free edition has no time limit and needs no credit card, but it covers up to 2 users and up to 1,000 contacts, shows HubSpot branding, and leaves out automation, sequences and forecasting. It is a real CRM for a very small team, and a trial of HubSpot’s interface for everyone else.
What Is a Cheaper Alternative to HubSpot?
For pure sales pipeline work, Zoho CRM costs $14 to $40 per user on annual billing with no onboarding fee, and Pipedrive runs $14 to $79. monday CRM suits teams already working in monday.com. For a wider field, see our best HubSpot alternatives guide or the HubSpot CRM alternatives list.
Is HubSpot Really Worth It?
It depends on how many Hubs you will use. HubSpot’s pricing rewards consolidation: one contact database, one reporting layer and one login across marketing, sales and service. A team that uses two or three Hubs at Professional often replaces several separate tools. A team that only needs deal tracking pays for breadth it will not use, and a cheaper sales-first CRM is usually the better fit. Before you sign, total the seats, the onboarding fees and a realistic contact count for the next 12 months, then compare that figure with the alternatives. Our CRM pricing guide covers what to expect across the market, and the HubSpot CRM profile lists features and integrations.

On Professional and Enterprise plans for Sales, Service and Marketing Hub, yes. It is a required one-time fee: $1,500 for Sales or Service Hub Professional, $3,500 for their Enterprise editions, and $3,000 or $7,000 for Marketing Hub Professional or Enterprise.
Can I pay for HubSpot monthly?
Starter can be paid and committed month to month. Professional can be paid monthly, but the commitment is still a year, and monthly payment costs about 10% more. Enterprise is billed annually.

How are marketing contacts billed?
Marketing Hub includes a set number of marketing contacts (1,000 on Starter, 2,000 on Professional, 10,000 on Enterprise) and bills extra contacts in tiers. Non-marketing contacts are free. Your tier can go up at any time but cannot come down until renewal.
What happened to Operations Hub and Commerce Hub?
They were renamed. Operations Hub is now Data Hub, and Commerce Hub is now Revenue Hub. Data Hub Professional starts at $720 a month on annual billing, and Revenue Hub Professional at $95 per seat.
Does HubSpot offer discounts for startups or nonprofits?
HubSpot runs separate programs for eligible startups and nonprofits, and its pricing pages point buyers to them. Discount levels depend on eligibility, so confirm the terms with HubSpot before you plan a budget around them.
