What is Virtual Queuing?
What does 'Virtual Queuing' mean?
Virtual queuing lets a visitor hold a place in line without standing in it. They join from a phone, a web link, a QR code or an SMS, go and do something else, and receive a message when their turn is approaching. For the operator this thins out the waiting area and gives a far more accurate picture of demand, because people who would have walked away instead stay in the queue and are counted.
