Lookups vs Exports: What a RocketReach Credit Buys

RocketReach’s Unlimited Credits FAQ defines the two units:

A lookup pulls a person’s contact data and stores it inside RocketReach. A lookup is only used if RocketReach finds and verifies an email or phone; otherwise it is refunded.
An export moves that data out: downloading a CSV, uploading a list, pushing to a CRM or a tool like Salesloft or Zapier, API lookups and bulk lookups all use export credits.

On annual plans, lookups are unlimited, subject to a fair-use limit of 10,000 lookups a month, and exports are the real meter. On monthly plans, both are capped at the same monthly number (100, 250 or 1,000).

Essentials returns emails only. Pro and Ultimate add verified mobile and direct-dial phone numbers. RocketReach meters lookups per contact and uses the plan, not a higher credit price, to decide whether phone numbers are available.

The cheapest route depends on whether your data has to leave RocketReach. If your reps sequence from inside RocketReach, Essentials or Pro annual is very cheap for the volume. If everything must land in Salesforce or HubSpot, exports decide the plan, and 1,000 a month means Ultimate.

Hidden Costs and Terms to Check

“Unlimited” has a ceiling. Annual plans cap lookups at 10,000 a month under RocketReach’s fair-use policy.
Exports are the real limit. Essentials annual allows 1,200 exports a year, about 100 a month. Bulk lookups, API calls and CRM pushes all draw on exports.
Monthly overage. The plan data behind the pricing page lists overage lookups on monthly plans at $0.25 each on Essentials and $0.45 on Pro and Ultimate, with a cap on how many overages you can take.
Cancellation timing. You can cancel anytime, but because you prepay, cancellation takes effect at the next term. You keep access for the rest of the month or year you paid for.
Tax. Checkout adds VAT or sales tax where applicable.
