The short answer: AI SDR tools automate the top of the outbound funnel: finding leads, researching them, writing personalised emails and LinkedIn messages, replying, and booking meetings. Published prices in September 2026 range from free AI-assisted plans (Regie.ai, Unify) to $250 to $2,500 a month for AiSDR, $499 a month for Salesforge’s Agent Frank and $600 a month for Amplemarket’s Startup plan. 11x, Artisan and Qualified quote per customer. Most work best as a complement to human reps, not a replacement.
Pricing and feature details below are vendor-published, checked September 2026 on each vendor’s own site. Where a vendor does not publish a price, we say so and describe what it does state publicly. Results claims quoted on vendor sites are the vendor’s, not ours.

What is an AI SDR?
An AI SDR is software that does the prospecting work of a sales development rep: it builds lead lists, researches each prospect, writes and sends personalised outreach across email, LinkedIn and sometimes phone, handles replies, and books meetings on a human rep’s calendar. Some run fully autonomously; others draft for a human to approve.
The term covers two different shapes of product. Autonomous agents such as AiSDR, Artisan’s Ava, 11x’s Alice and Salesforge’s Agent Frank are sold as a digital worker that runs campaigns end to end. AI-assisted platforms such as Amplemarket, Regie.ai, Unify and the agents inside Apollo and Outreach put AI into a rep’s existing workflow, where a person still owns the sequence. Inbound AI SDRs, such as Qualified’s Piper, talk to visitors on your website instead of emailing cold prospects.
What do AI SDR tools actually automate?
Most AI SDR tools automate six jobs: lead sourcing from a built-in database, account and contact research, message writing, multi-channel sending with deliverability setup, reply handling, and meeting booking. The better ones also watch buying signals such as job changes, website visits and LinkedIn engagement, and trigger outreach when they fire.
- Lead sourcing. Artisan lists 250M+ verified B2B contacts; Salesforge’s Agent Frank searches 500M+ contacts; Amplemarket includes 27,000 contacts on Startup and up to 400,000 on Elite.
- Research. AiSDR researches each contact and monitors HubSpot (and Salesforce on Scale) data; Regie.ai includes research and enrichment in its credit model.
- Writing. All write personalised emails. AiSDR adds AI video and LinkedIn voice notes on its Scale plan.
- Sending and deliverability. AiSDR and Artisan set up mailboxes and warm-up; Salesforge sells its own email infrastructure products alongside Agent Frank.
- Replies and booking. AiSDR replies in 5 to 10 minutes or in co-pilot mode; Artisan’s Ava replies and books meetings autonomously, with approval controls available.
- Phone. 11x sells Julian, an AI phone agent; Artisan offers an AI dialer add-on for human reps; Regie.ai includes a power dialer on Pro.
How much do AI SDR tools cost?
Where prices are published, AI SDR agents cost roughly $250 to $2,500 a month, and AI-assisted seat-based tools cost $20 to $150 per seat a month. Enterprise AI SDRs such as 11x, Artisan and Qualified quote per customer. Pricing is usually tied to contacts reached or credits, not just seats, so volume drives cost more than headcount.
AiSDR (vendor-published, checked September 2026)
- Solo, $250 per month: 200 AI-researched contacts a month, 1 user, 1 domain, 3 mailboxes, 1 LinkedIn account, HubSpot two-way sync. Month-to-month.

- Scale, $2,500 per month: 2,500 contacts a month, 6 domains, 18 mailboxes, 20 LinkedIn accounts, Salesforce sync, website visitor tracking. Quarterly contract; fully managed service available for an extra $2,500 a month.

Salesforge Agent Frank
Agent Frank is listed at $499 per month billed quarterly for 2,000+ contacts a month, which Salesforge equates to $0.25 per contact. It includes autopilot and co-pilot modes, a 500M+ contact search engine, 20+ languages, a dedicated account manager and a shared Slack channel. Salesforge’s human-led sequencing plans start at $40 (Pro) and $80 (Growth) per month billed annually. See the Salesforge profile.
Amplemarket
Amplemarket’s Startup plan costs $600 per month on an annual term with 2 users, 27,000 contacts, multichannel sequences, AI intent signals and Duo Copilot. Growth (4 users, 140,000 contacts, adds Duo Voice) and Elite (10 users, 400,000 contacts, adds Duo Inbox) are custom-priced. All plans include a free trial. See the Amplemarket profile.
Regie.ai and Unify
Regie.ai’s RegieGO has a free plan with 250 one-time credits per person, Pro at $41 per month on annual billing ($49 monthly) with 5,000 credits a month and a power dialer, and Team at $125 per seat per month on annual billing ($150 monthly) with 15,000 credits per seat and a two-seat minimum. Unify has a free plan for up to 3 seats, a $20 per seat plan with 800 credits per seat a month, and a $60 per seat plan with 2,400 credits, both billed monthly. See the Regie.ai and Unify profiles.
11x, Artisan and Qualified
These three do not publish prices. Artisan says plans are “sized to your lead volume, mailboxes, and dialer seats,” with a Team plan around 2,500 leads contacted a month and a Scale plan around 6,000. Qualified says it builds a plan customised to your pipeline needs for Piper, its inbound AI SDR. 11x offers a live demo for Alice and Julian. See the 11x, Artisan and Qualified profiles, and the 11x vs Artisan comparison.
How do you compare AI SDR prices fairly?
Convert every quote to cost per contact reached, then to cost per meeting once you have pilot data. On list prices, AiSDR works out to $1.25 per contact on Solo ($250 for 200), about $1.13 on Explore ($900 for 800) and $1 on Scale ($2,500 for 2,500). Salesforge states $0.25 per contact for Agent Frank at 2,000+ contacts a month.
Per-contact price is only half the picture. A cheaper contact that includes less research, fewer channels or no mailbox setup can cost more per meeting booked. When comparing, list what each price includes: data, mailboxes and warm-up, LinkedIn accounts, CRM sync and human support. Then run the same ICP through two tools for the same period and divide spend by meetings held.
Can an AI SDR replace a human SDR?
For high-volume, templated outbound to a clearly defined ICP, an AI SDR can cover much of the research and first-touch writing a junior SDR does. It is weaker at judgment calls: picking which accounts matter this quarter, handling nuanced objections, multi-threading into a buying committee and live phone conversations. Most teams get the best return by pairing AI SDRs with human reps.
Vendors themselves frame it this way. Artisan says “Ava emails, your reps dial.” AiSDR recommends a quarterly commitment because teams see their strongest results after about six weeks and inbox warm-up takes 30+ days. That ramp time matters when you compare an AI SDR’s monthly price against a hire.
What are the risks of using an AI SDR?
The main risks are domain reputation damage from high send volumes, off-brand or inaccurate messages sent without review, weak targeting that burns through a total addressable market, and compliance exposure under email and data privacy laws. Each is manageable with approval settings, separate sending domains, tight ICP filters and legal review of your outreach rules.
- Deliverability: use secondary domains and warm mailboxes; AiSDR, Artisan and Salesforge all include or sell this setup.
- Message quality: start in co-pilot or approval mode. Artisan lets you approve before sending, lock tone and CTAs and ban phrases; AiSDR offers a co-pilot mode.
- List burn: cap contacts per month and exclude current customers and open opportunities with suppression lists.
- Compliance: confirm opt-out handling and data sourcing for the regions you email.
How do you choose an AI SDR tool?
Start from your motion, not the demo. If you have one founder selling, a month-to-month autonomous agent like AiSDR Solo is a low-risk test. If you have reps who need more pipeline, an AI-assisted platform such as Amplemarket, Regie.ai or Unify keeps humans in control. If inbound website traffic is your gap, an inbound agent like Qualified’s Piper fits better.
- Define the job. Cold outbound, inbound conversion or rep assistance.
- Check the data. Does the tool’s database cover your ICP and region, or will you bring your own lists?
- Check the CRM. Two-way sync with HubSpot or Salesforce, and on which plan.
- Price by volume. Convert each quote to cost per contact reached and cost per meeting booked in a pilot.
- Test for 60 to 90 days. Measure positive replies, meetings held and pipeline created, not emails sent.
Where does buyer intent data fit in?
AI SDRs are only as good as the accounts they target. Intent data tells the agent which companies are actively researching your category, so it contacts in-market buyers first. Several tools include signals: Amplemarket has AI intent signals, AiSDR tracks LinkedIn engagement and website visitors, and Unify is built around signals. You can also feed third-party intent into any of them.
Spotsaas publishes buyer intent data from software buyers researching and comparing products on its marketplace, which vendors can use to prioritise accounts. For a wider view of the options, see our roundup of the best buyer intent data providers and our guide to identifying anonymous website visitors.
Do sales engagement platforms have AI SDR features?
Yes. Apollo includes an AI Assistant and AI research on its plans, which start at $49 per seat per month billed annually. Outreach sells named AI agents across its Amplify packages, metered in AI credits. These suit teams that want AI inside the sequencing tool they already use, without adding a separate autonomous agent.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best AI SDR tool?
There is no single best one. AiSDR is the easiest published-price test for small teams, Amplemarket suits teams that want data, sequences and AI in one platform, Artisan and 11x target teams wanting a fully managed AI BDR, and Qualified’s Piper is the pick for inbound website conversion.
How much does an AI SDR cost per month?
Published prices in September 2026 run from $250 a month (AiSDR Solo) to $2,500 a month (AiSDR Scale), with Salesforge’s Agent Frank at $499 a month billed quarterly and Amplemarket Startup at $600 a month on an annual term. Enterprise tools quote per customer.
Is there a free AI SDR tool?
Partly. Regie.ai and Unify both have free plans with limited credits, and Amplemarket offers a free trial. Fully autonomous agents are paid.
How long does an AI SDR take to show results?
Plan for about two months. New sending mailboxes need 30+ days of warm-up, and AiSDR says customers see their strongest results after around six weeks. Judge a pilot on meetings held and pipeline, not the first month’s open rates.
What is the difference between an AI SDR and a sales engagement platform?
A sales engagement platform, such as Outreach or Salesloft, runs sequences that reps build and manage. An AI SDR decides who to contact, writes the messages and handles replies with little human input. The line is blurring as engagement platforms add agents.
Do AI SDRs work for inbound leads?
Some do. Qualified’s Piper engages visitors on your website and books meetings, and 11x’s Julian handles phone conversations. Most other tools in this list focus on outbound.
