What is AuctionMethod?
AuctionMethod is a white-label auction software platform and custom auction software development provider, in operation since 2012. The platform charges no commissions, no per-lot fees, and no platform skim, and clients are not locked into a long-term contract. AuctionMethod serves auctioneers, estate liquidators, farm and heavy equipment sellers, industrial and salvage and recycling businesses, non-profits, corporations, retail liquidators, auto and car dealers, real estate auctioneers, and arts and collectibles sellers. The company is based in Massachusetts and serves clients across the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. New users can try the platform through a 30-day free trial with no credit card required. AuctionMethod is rated 4.9 out of 5 on Capterra and SourceForge, and the platform received SourceForge's Spring 2026 Top Performer Award in Auction Software. Clients retain a 94 percent renewal rate, and the platform runs on AWS with auto-scaling infrastructure. AuctionMethod supports multiple auction formats in one system, including Timed Online Auctions, Simulcast Auctions, Blind Timed Auctions, Catalog-Only Auctions, Fixed-Price sales, and Perpetual events, letting clients match format to inventory. Every client platform is fully white-labeled, meaning bidders interact with the client's own branded site rather than a shared marketplace, and clients retain full ownership of their bidder data, seller data, and transaction history. AuctionMethod includes a mobile app for iOS and Android and integrates with Fiserv, Stripe, and Authorize.net. For businesses with complex or specialized workflows, AuctionMethod also offers custom auction software development as a dedicated platform build.
