What is Queue Management?
What does 'Queue Management' mean?
Queue management is the core of a customer flow platform: it holds the ordered list of people waiting for a service, decides who is called next, and records when each visit started and ended. Staff see the live queue, call the next visitor, transfer someone to a different counter or service, and reopen a visit that was closed too early. Because every waiting-time and service-time figure is derived from these events, the depth of the queue model is what decides how much a manager can later learn about where a branch loses minutes.
