Spotsaas Editor’s POV

TeamViewer's free tier is genuinely useful for occasional personal remote access—screen sharing, file transfer, and unattended access all work without payment limits. The interface is straightforward: connect, authenticate, control. For business use, the paid plans ($49–$99/month depending on features) add session recording, multi-monitor support, and priority ...Read more

  • Reliable and stable performance, ensuring stable and uninterrupted connections even over long distances.

USE ANOTHER REMOTE ACCESS PROVIDER!

After being a loyal customer for many years of TeamViewer, they are trying to stick me for another year's subscription upon my cancellation. I called. I spoke to a nice person that told me that if I didn't cancel 28 days prior to renewal, I had to pay. I asked to speak to his manager, he first told me he did not have a manager and then he told me that my manager "would not speak to me". I will fight this charge if they try to collect it and will be glad to contest it with anyone that they ...

Turned to utter garbage

Turned to utter garbage now. Used to be great. We used it commercially on a global scale, but it just got worse with each iteration. Last issues we had were "Commercial use detected", of course it was commercial use, we bloody paid you lots of money for it!!We've signed up with Bomgar, and dumped this software.

Looking into a Class Action Law Suit.

Class Action Lawsuit.Does anyone want to pursue a class action lawsuit against Teamviewer? I'm willing to give my information and if we get enough folks on-board, this will probably go away. The negative publicity alone will make them think twice, unless they just don't care, we can sue them for deceptive accounting practices, switch and bait, i'm sure lawyers can think of other violations concerning consumer protection laws. And since they are not an american company, they would need ...

very bad company to try and cancel

Very bad company the 28 days cancellation before renewal date is a straight con so they can get you for another year. Normal policies let you cancel up to the date they are due for renewalI have never come across a company like this, even after speaking to say I do not need the software anymore, due to job change they would not be flexible.I always used to this they were a good company, but they are obviously more bothered about profits and not customer service.

A very handy Remote Desk management tool

What do you like best? I like the abilities of TeamViewer that lets you perform so much out of it, its speed of operation, ease of setup and connection reliability, file transfer and secure communication. What do you dislike? There is not much to dislike here, but sometimes the connection drops or disconnects that could be troubling and time consuming to reconnect the suspended connections, other than that if you buy the software then it gives unlimited time for remote connection but ...
