Leveraging Sumo Logic to monitor our Cloud Infrastructure

What do you like best? I love that I can easily search and filter data across multiple environments. I also find the ability to save and share queries invaluable. What do you dislike? The filtering syntax has a high learning curve and although powerful it takes new users more time than I would like to get up to speed. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? The biggest problem we have helped solve with Sumo Logic is being able to ...

Kickass logging solution

What do you like best? Secure, very functional. I can find what I want, slice dice, make great julienne fries. Really this is the end all, be all solution for logging and parsing my data. What do you dislike? Sometimes it can be a bit slow with long time span queries Recommendations to others considering the product: Expensive but worth the cost for immutable storage with excellent tools for parsing, dashboarding, alerting. What problems are you solving with the product? What ...

Incredible product - reliable, powerful, and great UX

What do you like best? Sumo is incredibly dependable. As someone who has helped maintain our own ES cluster in the past and use kibana in place of sumo logic, it was always a pain trying to keep things up and running, and ensuring no one was going to run queries that would bring the ES cluster to its knees at times. Sumo is incredibly dependable and reliable, even with very large sets of data and very expensive and large queries. The different visualizations it gives out of the box give ...

Extremely Powerful Log Aggregation and querying

What do you like best? I've recently discovered scheduled views and subqueries, and these really took investigative work to the next level. I can query my logs without writing custom scripts and cross reference information to predict errors and associate entirely disparate log sources to alert on a problem before it gets bad. What do you dislike? While log querying is still powerful, it can be painfully slow past 7 days in the past. What problems are you solving with the product? ...

Powerful yet simple tool

What do you like best? The various ways to aggregate data. Scheduled searches keep us on top of issues. What do you dislike? Need non-personal folders for more logical sharing. It's a pain to have to remember which human created a search or dashboard. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Real time tracking. We have been able to stay on top of issues.

Incredible apparatus for cutting and dicing of log!!

What do you like best? I adore that I can scan for complex mixes of strings to limit the log explanations that I need to deal with by hand. In a high volume condition, this is completely key to effectively finding precisely what you're searching for. What do you dislike? In the event that I needed to whine about something it would be the postponement in time between when a log message is produced on my application and it touches base in Sumo. This can be two or three minutes or more. ...
