Great tool for communicating with coworkers
What do you like best? Slack is very easy to use and to learn to use. The messaging is quick and easy with extremely simple file uploads especially. The Custom groups are nice as well. Also great file storage, it's always really easy to search for old files or messages that I've lost on my own. The free version is pretty extensive as well. What do you dislike? Not a ton that comes to mind, The tool is constantly improving, most of the time if there's something that I don't love, it's ...

Please let an admin be an admin
Great tool in terms of capabilities but terrible tool in terms of admin rights. Ideally, an admin can be an admin: remove and add people where needed, change channels, permanently remove users, etc. As an admin I'd rather be allowed to make these changes and screw up myself (as this is my fault), rather than being restricted in many activities.

Great for business use but too much for personal use
What do you like best? Slack is a great tool not just for communication but for many things. I am using Slack for managing BitBucket commits, setting reminders for pull requests, etc. We have multiple Slack bots to help us to organize meetings. Automatic status changes based on the Google Calendar events are also a big plus. Multiple OS support (Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, and Linux) is also great since we are working on multiple platforms in the company. Screen sharing works great. ...

Great Collaborative Tool
What do you like best? Integration with Google Drive is what marvels me about this tool. What’s exceptional about slack is the fact that you can create as many groups and channels as you wish. As a tech company, we have different channels for devs and marketing and the updates on chats are in real time. What’s more, you can mute notifications for a certain period if you want to concentrate on your work. Both the web version and the iOS app are easy to navigate. With a sleek and simple ...

Ease of Informal Work Communication
What do you like best? Well the best part of slack is that the basic service it provides is we can message our colleagues for all informal work instead of sending emails out for everything. On top of that Slack allows you to integrate the App with alot of other Application and so basically you can even review everything within slack instead of using multiple apps. What do you dislike? At times, the applications integrated do no perform correctly and you have to disable and re establish ...
