Sitefinity review
What do you like best? The CMS interface is excellent. For fairly basic websites, it could not be easier to use Sitefinity to build interactive and attractive webpages. Their authentication system was actually very useful for the company I worked for. What do you dislike? Documentation for building customized solutions is extremely lacking. If you have paid support, you receive a fairly prompt response, but even that wasn't great. What business problems are you solving with the product? ...

Easy to use drag and drop interface. Can be troublesome for developers.
What do you like best? The interface is easy to use for an untrained user. The support team does a great job helping us out. What do you dislike? It can be a bit hard to figure out where to configure things for a developer. I am currently working on a problem where I have no visibility into what is happening within sitefinity. Recommendations to others considering the product It is a great tool to consider. It will allow more customization than a standard wordpress site and allows for ...

I have been quite happy with Sitefinity for the past 2 years.
What do you like best? It is a very robust platform and easy to administer once you learn the system. I can easily assign different access and authoring levels to different people within the organization based on their requirements. It is quite easy to add and manage content as needed. What do you dislike? The biggest drawback I've found is the lack of a true blog module with the visual design capabilities that a blog typically has. I have had my developer customize the module to fit my ...

Sitefinity is pretty flexible
What do you like best? I like how user friendly the wysiwyg editor is. I like how easy it is to create custom modules and content types. What do you dislike? I don't like that you can't export content from custom modules. I hate how some styles override custom styles. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We work with banks to create their client facing websites.

Good product but overly complicated for custom solutions
What do you like best? It is a customizable solution for website construction and can support just about any type of site What do you dislike? If you want to customize your site, getting into the back-end of the site can be pretty daunting and the documentation is often lacking Recommendations to others considering the product If you want to get into the custom side of things you'll want training or help from a third party specialist What business problems are you solving with the ...

It has been a difficult road, but the finished product is good
What do you like best? The end product and capabilities that sitefinity has given us from a content management standpoint have been good. What do you dislike? The early going we had lots of issues and support was hard to come by and took weeks to get issues resolved. We also had lots of issues get the licensing figured out. Recommendations to others considering the product It seems like most the early quirks we dealt with have been worked out over time. Our second deployment was much ...

Extremely extensible and the users like using it, however development is slow.
What do you like best? The ability to create custom widgets using Sitefinity's API. What do you dislike? Load times are incredibly slow which makes development a pretty terrible experience. Unfortunately I inherited this project and the original developers chose VB webforms as the platform. Recommendations to others considering the product If implementing a new CMS for a client, i would personally recommend a more widely used and/or open source solution. What business problems are you ...

What do you like best? I like simplicity of editing and creating webpages. Drag & Drop is outstanding and easy to use even by poeple without experience in other CMS systems. What do you dislike? Customizing functions for regular user is very difficult. You need to have developers team to make some changes. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Updating pages in Sitefinity is much easier and time saving than in the other CMS systems.
