What do you like best? Adding page content is quite easy, templates provided are useful to keep the same feel throughout website. What do you dislike? Search indexing doesn't work, we have even gone as far as to log a ticket with sitefinity helpdesk & they couldn't fix the indexing ! Documents won't index Recommendations to others considering the product For sure without documents & searching them documents it is great What business problems are you solving with the product? What ...

Great CMS but slow at times

What do you like best? The back end of Sitefinity is laid out really well and is intuitive for users with moderate knowledge. What do you dislike? From my experience, sites built with Sitefinity are heavy downloads for the end user. This could just be the sites I have worked on and not represent any problem with Sitefinity itself. I have also noticed the API is overly complex and not easily used, that would be great for doing advanced things but an API shouldn't have a day-to-day standing ...

I am very satisified with the product.

What do you like best? The CMS feature so others can manage content without developer required. What do you dislike? Updates are not being seen immediately because of website caching. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? N/A

Excellent CMS with nice customization ability

What do you like best? We have enjoyed using Sitefinity at our organization, and over the years, we have enjoyed the useful features and updates they continue to add. What do you dislike? Sometimes we experience issues with upgrades because features we are using become depreciated. It doesn't seem well communicated what is being depreciated with new upgrades (or I'm just never looking in the right place What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you ...

Great for Designers and Developers alike

What do you like best? Easy to use, easy to understand, and easy to teach users how to get the most out of it. I've been creating and managing sites in SF since version 3 and even though I found it easy to use back then, it has advanced in leaps and bounds since then integrating more sought after features and fixing many of the problems earlier versions had. Project Feather was a huge step forward and I can't wait to see what comes next. What do you dislike? There are a few limitations ...

Sitefinity Review

What do you like best? The site is fairly easy to interact with and maintain. The controls make sense, the interface is fairly intuitive. What do you dislike? Sometimes speed is an issue, particularly when you have to drill down to an edit form that is buried in subfolders, then under the edit screen, then under the edit form in that edit screen. More direct access would be nice, with a faster interaction (though this might be related to equipment limitations rather than the software. ...

Progress Sitefinity CMS - A Developer Review

What do you like best? The integration with .NET MVC technology and the ability to create custom widgets in C# makes it a nice platform to extend and integrate with existing code bases developed with similar technologies. The ability to use C# also allows our business to reuse in house knowledge and resources. What do you dislike? Sitefinity Administration can be somewhat cumbersome and limited. The Administration module has thousands of settings and not always intuitive what all of them ...

Some good points, some bad points

What do you like best? - The basic user interface - The module builder, - The page layout system (though some customers found it confusing - Many functions exists right out of the box What do you dislike? - The continious mysterious bugs and problems!!! - User rights system is horrible and buggy - The thing that if you wanted to do things in slightly different way than the sitefinity basic way , development could get very difficult and you'll have to strech the system and think ...
