great product but has some challenges

What do you like best? ease of adding content; easy to train users on how to use it. What do you dislike? separate steps to do an "accurate" sync to production Recommendations to others considering the product The software can support responsive design, but it does not mean that your content is automatically made responsive, unless you are willing to settle for the Basic responsive style that Sitefinity provides. You have to put in some work -- code and stylesheets -- to make your pages ...

Sitefinity Review

What do you like best? Editing is very easy. Simple updates are done in a snap. when something needs to be removed it is easy to make it go away. What do you dislike? Editing in the back end can be very difficult. The pages don't always appear the same as they do in the edit box compared to the preview screen. There are extra <br> added mysteriously. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? This question does not apply.

We use Sitefinity as the platform for our website.

What do you like best? The ease of use, it is very easy to keep our site updated with new information. The drag and drop content boxes/widgets make it very easy when designing pages. The community forums are also helpful. What do you dislike? Not a lot, if anything it would be backend stuff such as upgrading and license keys. But I am not a developer so I just don't have knowledge of these processes. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you ...

Provides a lot of functionality out of the box and is easy to customize

What do you like best? Based on ASP.NET and easy to create custom widgets and functionality. What do you dislike? Slow to startup. There are some inconsistencies in functionality between different areas. Have to pay extra for phone support. Recommendations to others considering the product Use Sitefinity Feather What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Helps keep all our content organized and consistent.

Sitefinity has been an okay experience.

What do you like best? The easy drag and drop UI. It's easy to preview the page. What do you dislike? Slowness & back and forth editing. Lots of time out errors. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I'm trying to create the best user experience possible so that I see an improved conversion rate on my website. I've realized that mobile responsiveness and a/b testing is the key to a best UX.

A bit tedious but straight forward.

What do you like best? The environment. I really liked using Microsoft Visual Studio/Thunder with it. What do you dislike? Had a little trouble getting Sitefinity set up with database and server, but my knowledge in regards to that is/was minimal. I stay in the "front end". What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Better web experience from a management perspective. Once it is up and running it gives more power to the content ...

Great from a user perspective. Better from a development perspective

What do you like best? I love that Sitefinity is super friendly for business users. The drag and drop interfaces for managing and creating content, particularly in page templates, is excellent. Clients' reaction to seeing the UI for the first time is almost universally positive. I also really like the introduction of Feather - it allows developers to use the MVC framework in ways that are much truer to the framework - as opposed to feeling like it is just pasted on the top. What do you ...

Not Happy With Sitefinity

What do you like best? Once set up properly marketers can maintain the site. What do you dislike? It is a black box. Poor support. Poor documentation. Has a lot of basic problems. In particular with their Data Caching and Page Caching mechanism. They are no longer developing the Ecommerce part of their product. Recommendations to others considering the product Look elsewhere. Even if you are doing a simple marketing web site I would recommend going else where. Not happy with the product ...

I was disappointed in ease of use.

What do you like best? There's not a lot of things I like about Sitefinity. I suppose the drag and drop functionality is decent. What do you dislike? It's not easy to use for non web designers. I was told this would be ready to use with little of no training. It's not. Recommendations to others considering the product I would not recommend this product. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? New website. No real benefits.
