Sitefinity review

What do you like best? Ease of implementation, easy to use GUI and product support & documentation. What do you dislike? In the last few versions too many features have been added reducing the focus on the core product. Licensing is not very clear. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Running multiple web properties 24x7 with confidence in great up-time. Ability for internal non-tech teams to manage the content increasing overall ...

Great CMS For Mid-Large Business

What do you like best? The Sitefinity GUI is very friendly, and easy on the eyes. This makes it an easy platform to use for hours. The layout of all the capabilities is also very intuitive. What do you dislike? Some of the previewing capabilities while one is working on a page are very basic. This doesn't allow one to visualize the final result of how a widget will be rendered. Recommendations to others considering the product It is a very powerful tool, so make sure that you have the ...

An awesome CMS armed with a highly intuitive design functionality.

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? The UX appears to be highly intuitive in making swift changes. At the same time, it foster for technical users to gain entry to an html, scripts, and CSS. These can only be possible if changes are really needed from this end. Crafting new templates and setting them up for mobile-based responsiveness also meets the standards. What aspects are problematic or could work better? Certain customizations are needed if there's any intention ...

An ideal approach for content managers who want to completely control their content.

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? Being a developer, one of the most boring things to do when developing is content creation changes. CMS was able to resolve this issue by lifting off the burden from the developer and giving the responsiblity back to content managers. A majority of CMSs who do this wind up failing and going back to doing the changes themselves. But that's not the case with Sitefinit as its UI is easy for content managers to make the necessary changes. ...

Sitefinity upgrades need improvement as does their support

What do you like best? Once implemented, it is fairly easy to use and maintain, though it has it's quirks. What do you dislike? Progress support can be challenging. Since most of their support is overseas, having a technical conversation with a non-native English speaker has been frustrating. Because of the time difference with the USA, cases are drawn out much too long. For some reason, this vendor is averse to using screen sharing programs such as webex/gotomeeting (or charging extra ...

Used Sitefinity at two companies

What do you like best? Sitefinity is very user friendly, so everything is point & click or click & drag. The layout is easy to understand and making more advanced changes can be done fairly easily with a web developer. What do you dislike? The product can still be buggy at times. What you 'preview' may not be what is actually 'published'. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Flexibility to change your website with demand, ecommerce ...

Basrely functional

What do you like best? There is not much we like about Sitefinity. It constantly breaks on us, and pages revert to prior versions without us realizing it. What do you dislike? The system is not intuitive--modules are not easy to copy and tweak. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We use this to host our customer facing sites.

Love Sitefinity

What do you like best? Sitefinity is incredibly user-friendly and easy to navigate. What do you dislike? It isn't usable in Chrome. I wish it offered either in-page editing for quick updates or an edit button on pages that would take me right to the edit screen. I also don't like that when I publish a page and return to Pages, all the menus or collapsed, or a different set of menus are expanded. Recommendations to others considering the product Do it! I am so pleased with the product. ...
