An ideal approach for content managers who want to completely control their content.

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? Being a developer, one of the most boring things to do when developing is content creation changes. CMS was able to resolve this issue by lifting off the burden from the developer and giving the responsiblity back to content managers. A majority of CMSs who do this wind up failing and going back to doing the changes themselves. But that's not the case with Sitefinit as its UI is easy for content managers to make the necessary changes. ...

Recommended for both developers and designers.

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? It's relatively simple to use. It also happens to be easy enough to understand. It teaches users on how to maximize it fully. I've been doing site management and creation within SF since the third version. What aspects are problematic or could work better? There are some restrictions that can either be challenging to push through or not longer possible to do based on the libraries utilized by the SF. They can be annoying when going ...

Sitefinity by Progress - Great for the non web developer

What do you like best? That it allows me and my team to have a website that we can maintain without having to be web developers or stay up to date on the ever changing online web items. What do you dislike? It is a bit glitchy when you do something it feels it doesn't like. Locks and 'crashes' our site once in a while, but I feel that may also be user error at times. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? A website for our company that ...

Sitefinity CMS Review

What do you like best? The product itself works very well. The online documentation is great. The technical support people are great. What do you dislike? A lot of the support comes from central Europe, so you must balance the time difference. Recommendations to others considering the product This is a solid product that is easy to manage and leverages the Microsoft development platform well. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We ...

A solid platform that allows for some innovation

What do you like best? Sitefinity is an easy to use back end for most intermediate and beginner users. There is a lot of room for innovation. What do you dislike? That innovation needs to be worked through the limitations of the software. It can be done, but it can also be quite the task to do so. Recommendations to others considering the product Learn what your non-negotiables are. So that when it comes to implementing out of the box, you will be aware of the choices you may have to ...

Sitefinity

What do you like best? The security is a plus. That said, it's due to the ASP.NET base. What do you dislike? It's not as feature-heavy as other popular content management systems. Recommendations to others considering the product It's a decent product, but you'll have a hard time finding "experts" who use it. There's apparently only one in Canada, and the user base is fairly small. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We switched from ...

An enterprise-level content management platform with agility.

PROS & CONS What are the best aspects of this product? I'm very much impressed with the intense passion and concentration to be being at the forefront of technology in expanding functionality. It would help empower users and let developers concentrate further on development with exceptional UI tools, support-developer community, and online services. With a combination of state-of-the-art and dependable technology stacks, they're still the choice for any enterprise. They're a solution ...
