Using protonmail was one very frustrating experience. The biggest bug is their mobile app and desktop app is not synced. I have used much cheaper mail servers and they do have this basic feature. Imagine receiving your emails all day long to your phone as unread, although you already opened and answered to the on your desktop. I first donated to protonmail to support their start. Then I used their free protonmail email services. Following one of their email stressing that you can support their efforts to privacy by being a paid customer, I subscribed for a 2 year plan, knowing that I didn't needed much of their services as I already use another paid service. Very dissatisfied with the service - it took over nine emails to sort out the problem - locked out of both emails and VPN - STILL waiting for a refund under their 30 day satisfaction guarantee

They run software that decides you might be spamming then restrict access to the account. I have had one full day wasted because of this. I payed for business protonmail thinking it would be reliable. I was wrong. Do yourself a favour and stay away.

Betrugsprotonmail und bestellt auf meine Rechnung und an meine Adresse in meinem Namen als Identitätsdiebstahl waren, Dienstleistungen, Zeitungs-Abos. Jetzt sehr perfide, man denkt, es ist ein Werbeexemplar, dann kommt raus, er hat einen Gutschein bestellt, der sich automatisch in ein teures Jahresabo wandelt, wenn man nicht kündigt. I had to use the rating to make a comment but am not a user yet. I am considering joining ProtonMail and have been looking over the comments. I believe some are outright fraudulent. ProtonMail reads your mail ? That is absurb. A few employees read 1000's of emails a day. Not a chance ! I will have to check a professional review to get the facts. Thanks.
