What a pity needing Google Play

I'm new in using protonmail. Seems to be a very good product. I've not yet used all possibilities, especially mail encryption. But one thing I cannot understand is the need of Google Play to get notifications of new mail. I choose such products as yours because it seems to be an escape way from monopolies. Please help us free ourselves from Big Brother (then I'll consider upgrading to PM Plus ;-). Thank you!

Awful company, awful customer service

They assume that you are an IT whizkid... their customer service is dire, it takes days and weeks to respond then doesn't even bother reading the email you send them. They are expensive and send you an invoice telling you that you are late paying it 2 HOURS AFTER IT WAS ISSUED! It didn't have a calendar facilicity for months and also changed its access to beta.protonmail without notification. When you try and go back to basic it still refuses you access if you refuse to pay up for another ...

Wait times

Very long wait times for replys on emails it’s taken me almost a week just to have conversation with them. I actually enjoy protonmail so it hurts me to give it a 3 star review but will be updated once my issue is resolved ticket number: 540539
