I've been using Protonmail for about 3 years for personal use and have never had any problems. For the little cost of the service I think the company is progressing well.

Heute versuchte ich zwei kostenlose Konten auf Plus umzustellen. Habe mit Paypal bezahlt und Anfragen zu meinem Girokonten wurden auch gestellt. Da die zwei Konten nicht auf Plus umgestellt wurden, habe ich den Support angeschrieben und ich finde es eine unverschämtheit mir zu schreiben, meine Bank hätte die zwei Zahlungen abgelehnt. Great product, rubbish customer service.

Whilst Protonmail and ProtonVPN are easily the best products in their category, their customer service is NOT. What can you expect from a company comprised only of scientists and engineers? I recently LOST all of my credentials when changing phones and am STILL locked out of my email, contacts, calendar, you name it. My free account works well, but when I paid for an account it was closed for "Fraud and Abuse" after sending 5 emails to friends notifying them of my address change. I have sent multiple requests to have the account reinstated, as there were no violations, but Proton Mail personnel do not feel the need to reply or take any action.
