Protonmail does not care about its users at all!

For years it has been a pleasure dealing with this service. I've given them countless recommendations and word of mouth free advertisement. But this does not matter. I see that Protonmail does not value its loyal users whatsoever. I have been using Protonmail mail since the start of my first business venture due to me deeming them to be the most secure. All has been well for a couple of years along with the next business venture. I am set to launch the third in less than a week and a non ...

Intentional sabotage of the service

All newcomers who believe in the" security " of Protonmail should know that they have a strict limit on the number of free accounts. This rule is hidden in a bunch of text that no one ever reads and when you register, you will not know about the limits. I have manually registered about 8 free accounts with a time spread of about a year and a half. Registered manually without using any programs. 2 accounts received a message about suspicion of fraud on my part and the subsequent blocking of ...

Great for privacy

Great for privacy, but end to end encryption can sometimes cause some trouble in convenience. Phone apps are ok but getting emails to a desktop application on a regular computer requires their bridge software to run as a daemon in the background. IMAP and similar protocols are complicated to use, or not supported at all. But for the security and privacy you get in return it's worth it.

Safer than other providers

Safer than other providers. It is a pity that the Android app has not been updated seriously for several years. The app startup speed is crazy slow. I wait for a simple dark mode decade. If I'm not live in Germany I will use tuta.

Uses automation to restrict accounts

Uses automation (bots) to terminate or restrict access to your email account. I suggest finding another email provider.

Horrible customer service.

Horrible customer service. I signed up, they suspended my account that was linked to other accounts because bot assumed the account was in abuse of their TOS. I sent them proof that the account was not created to abuse. Heck, I even signed up for their premium services. Still in the end they have not cooperated. Zero customer service. Arrogant and ignorant staff. UPDATE: I have contacted the support over 6 times. They are like robots. Only copy and pasting responses. Zero help, zero ...

Safe, secure & supportive!

Left formerly "friendly" but currently unsafe Gmail/Google space due to cybersecurity issues like unknown devices logging into my Gmail as well as insane phishing! Google and Gmail don't even have support and leave you on your own - left them after 15 years or usage for this gem: ProtonMail. I feel super safe on the ProtonMail with lots of great tips and support where you can check your security settings and IPs/sessions. Highly recommend them plus the super supportive staff. Ditch Google & ...

By having created multiple e-mails I lost 3 years+ of all the data/information/sign ups and much more without a single warning, do you really think that even 1% of the people fully read your tos to know that you cannot create more than 1 account? And do you think it is fair to just wipe everything? The most stupid thing and the biggest monetary loss in my life since I got locked out from many super important things and there is no way to access it
