Don't Understand All The Bad Reviews

I've been using protonmail for over a 3 months and have never run into an issue, this service is practically perfect and the free one is great for people who want to start having more private conversations. I don't understand all the bad reviews here about customer service, I had the best with them responding very quickly whenever I had an issue. I would recommend at least trying the free version and maybe upgrade later if you like the service.

A service well worth to pay for

It took a bit of time to set up and conifigure since I was replacing our current company mail. ProtonMail provides you with easy to follow step-by-step guides, so it was quite simple to complete the migration and repointing. Why should you use it? The premium reason for me and my company was the way the data is handled. No one will or can compromise your mail. Second reason is that it is not part of big tech but rather built on good, sound engineering.

Safer than other providers

Safer than other providers. It is a pity that the Android app has not been updated seriously for several years. The app startup speed is crazy slow. I wait for a simple dark mode decade.

For privacy and security reasons, don't use protonmail

After researching online for alternatives to google mail we found that protonmail came highly recommended, so my family decided to switch. Over the next few days we created free email accounts for my family, 4 in total, using my device. Suddenly all of us got a notification saying we had "abused" the system and our emails were disabled. Thieves

Thieves. SCAMMERS!!! They take your credit card and no follow up customer service. Just refer you to the help page. Stay away from them. Repeated requests for refund put you in a loop with no results. Don't give them your credit card info.

my wife and i signed up for email…

my wife and i signed up for email accounts. went to login and start my migration a few days later, only to find out that i abused their FREE vpn trial, when i did nothing but sign up fot an email account. then i opened a ticket with them, and they wanted to email me back to a non encrypted email. Nice job guys, good job with security......... NOT. Avoid them like the plague.

Very shoddy

Very shoddy. The website is extremely clunky and fails on a number of levels. The customer service is virtually non-existent even when you're paying for a subscription. The supporting software that allows you to integrate your existing email systems into Protonmail simply does not work. If you wish to reset your password them all of your stored emails are destroyed (as has just happened with me). That is not good if you wish to use the service to store business critical emails - or even ...
