Bad experience. I have tried to log in to my email account and it will not work or accept my password. I am positive that I am using the correct password. I contacted their Customer Support to reset my account or any other advisable solution. The CS communications that I received back through another Email account just keeps repeating the same things over and over and over again. I highly recommend to use protonmail instead of other mail providers. These guys provide u with the best security methods and guaranteed privacy with encryption. Also the ProtonVPN is amazing. I appreciate the "Strict No Log Policy" on their VPN servers. So give it a try!

Ever since they rolled out their new and improved email I have begun to get spam almost daily. There is also a delay when trying to log in and the page just sits there and does nothing. When I am finally logged in I continually get a red banner saying connection has been lost and within seconds then a green banner saying connection has been restored. I am giving this review because, I am happy to say that I reached out to Proton Mail and I received a response from Johnny pretty quick. The problem was this, I was to send an email and typing the sentence had a delayed reaction so each alphabet letter were being typed and in slow motion. It took a while before the sentence was typed. Lost all faith in ProtonMail

What I've experienced is similar to others here. I have a paid account. Lost access to account (used correct password and it said that I didn't) and support has been sparse, very slow, and unhelpful. If it has somehow been compromised (despite a strong password and careful use), they're fiddling while my account burns. This has burned me badly and lost my trust in them forever.

Simply put it will not allow the sending of zip files and furthermore attempting to find a senders actual email address is almost impossible. Add to this that it does not work on Android devices..... If you want a very very basic email - protonmail is fine. If you need to send multiple emails and documents forget it.....

I created an account easily and all was well . . . until I sent a test email to my usual address. It went into the spam folder. :-( I realize that the issue may be with my usual provider, not Proton, but still . . . know that if you send an email from Proton other providers may think it's spam.

Forget to reset your account password

I have an account with protonmail and if you want to recover your account (NOT your data), you have to answer a thousand questions to reset the account. If you forget your password do not bother to contact customer service. Make another account that you will lose less time than to play the Jeopardy game with protonmail customer service. Not recommended for a professional email. Extremely nauseating customer support.
