They disabled my account

They disabled my account - I've contacted their abuse team and it takes them forever to respond and they are not helpful at all. Extremely terrible service and attitude from them! I own several businesses and now I can't access an email for a business I own because of Protonmail - I would avoid them like the plague (TRUST ME DO NOT OPEN A PROTONMAIL ACCOUNT AT ALL COST!!!!)

Not customer friendly

account blocking without warning

I do not advise anyone to use this service, they block accounts without warning !!!! I registered a tik tok account on the proton mail, after which they blocked it !!! support does not work at all !!!! the worst service I had to work with! !!

Can't search messages, can't delete en masse, can't downgrade

Proton seems nice at first with the free plan but the emails pile up, and you can't search the message contents. There's also no way to mass delete emails. They say you can do this by downloading their Bridge program then using ThunderBird or Outlook to connect via imap, but when I tried, it produced strange bugs. Private email provider, pretty stable

Great email provider I use their free email hosting and it works well as well as being private and secure. It is open source and has open source mobile clients and is overall pretty cool. It is also pretty stable although the lack of IMAP or POP support for free users is annoying so I can only give it four stars because it doesn't work with Thunderbird. Might consider upgrading to paid but will have to think about it.

I've had my first ProtonMail account for over a year now and I have to say, it's great. Nothing gets through that you don't want. Not a thing, which I can't say about any other email provider I use. It's clean, organised, easy to use, and has a few themes to choose from for personalising.
