I'm really enjoying ProtonMail

I'm really enjoying ProtonMail, I love the fact that I can book a flight and not have Google automatically add it to my calendar and remind me of it etc... The privacy is real and much appreciated. - I do pay for the Plus Version because I believe in paying for the product, not being the product (data)

Dear Proton, I can see that many people had their accounts blocked. My personal email was blocked and it was tied to my crypto account where I have transferred real money. Without any warning! I am not rich I really need to access that money.. Please Proton help me to unlock it, I have no reply from the abuse support staff. I was only using email for in app purchase everything legal and nothing abusive. I WILL kindly remove bad rating if only some at least review my case nr: 860045 . How ...

ProtonMail gives Anonymity for Infidelity

THANK YOU 'PROTONMAIL' ... YOU HELPED MY HUSBAND MANIPULATE YOU AND THE GAMES YOU ASSISTED WITH MY HUSBAND HELPED ME IN A DIVORCE! DO NOT TRUST PROTON MAIL PEOPLE!! My husband opened 3 "secret" accounts with Protonmail.com. My husband gave me access then my husband wrote Protonmail and told them I was an ex-girlfriend that stole his email so they took me off? WTH: I know everyone is asking what kind of games are your husband playing? My second question is: "What kind of company is a company ...

Best email for personal domains

I own a personal domain and had been using the Webmail/Horde setup for years until I switched to Protonmail this past Sunday. Best decision ever made! I use a Thunderbird/Bridge/Ubuntu/iPhone app setup and it works perfectly. The first thing I noticed is all the junk email and phishing emails, which had been bothering me for years, are gone. These emails don't even reach Thunderbird (or my iPhone app). Protonmail feels so robust, fast, and secure compared to Webmail/Horde I used to use ...

Fraudulent use of my credit card

I decided to try out ProtonMail's paid email service and paid them for a full year of service. After three months of (rather clunky) usage I decided it was not competitive with other service providers on the market. The very weak calendar functionality and lack of integration was the final straw for me. So I sent them an email 8 months before the end of my subscription telling them I did not want to use their services after the end of my subscription period. Despite this, eight months ...

Protonmail Upgrades/Downgrades

Originally, I had a Free Protonmail account just to see how it worked. I used up my storage. Deleted emails and I am still being asked to upgrade. I can no longer get or send emails! The upgrade/downgrades do not work! I wonder if the support team works if you pay for a subscription. I have 11 emails. 3 Archived emails. UPDATE You have reached 100%. You cannot send or receive emails. Free up some space or add more storage. Upgrade account. I cannot use proton mail any more and I an ready ...

Works, but misleading and overpriced

I've been using ProtonMail (and only ProtonMail) for two years now without a problem. I fell for their marketing and transferred everything from Gmail to their services, hook line and sinker. However, recent controversies of the platform (such as giving logged IP addresses to the Swiss government and having a suspiciously faulty Tor/.onion site) made me look into my email setup again, and I learned the truth about email- it's not a secure or private medium at all. You may have your mail ...

Do not enter creditcard information! Company abuses it.

I do not write reviews often, but I have to warn others about ProtonMail. TLDR: Company forces premium and gives no option to downgrade. Do not register and definitely do not enter your creditcard information. I was looking for an email service that protects my privacy. I discovered ProtonMail and registered an account. Immediately upon registration I was forced into a premium account. Additionally, the interface had no option to downgrade account, so I had no way to get rid of the ...
