Consider reading all the reviews before giving this company any of your money

I used ProtonMail since 2017. Worked good for me. Then I tried the VPN and paid for 2 years. I was confident in this company. My mistake. Consider reading all the reviews before giving this company any of your money. Consider reading in detail all the terms and conditions before giving them your money. I paid for 24 months VPN service on November 26th. It did not work for me. They canceled my service on December 4th. I waited for refund and no response. In March of 2022, I filed a claim ...

PROTONMAIL...ZENDESK SUPPORT RATING…

First and foremost, I paid upfront for two years, ZENDESK Customer service is slow. Regarding using support-form; I tried on my Mac, my PC, my Apple phone and could not submit nothing happened. I got a message of 'unusual activity' targeting my account notice on March 9 and to protect my account access was disabled to protect it. March 15 account was ultimately restored with potential of lost mail due to encryption (why?). Multiple emails barely helped until this complaint was posted. ...

Deactivated email and EA account lost...

I had an EA account linked to this email (worth several hundred euros) that unfortunately was deactivated without a real reason. Because of them I lost access to the account and they didn't want to help me, despite the fact that I proved there was no illegal practice. Avoid absolutely

Suspended

I am very disappointed with the support at Proton. I set up a new account based on the good reviews at how safe it was. I imported my emails from 2 other accounts into it. Then 2 days later my account was suspended. I contacted the abuse support, it took them 24 hours to reply saying there was suspicious activity and for me to give them details. I have no idea what this suspicions activity is, I’ve read the T&C’s but I am still none the wiser. I have replied back to proton 3 times now with ...

Noble concept, poor executuion. Avoid!

It's an noble concept but poorly executed. After several years of being a paying ProtonMail Professional subscriber, nobody can accuse me of not giving these people a chance. However, I have now become so frustrated with the service that I am leaving them and transferring to another provider. The ProtonMail web interface, Androird app and Outlook integration are all so clumsy that it makes day-to-day work with email a true test of one's patience. Lately they have rolled out a number of ...

If I could give these people minus 5 I…

If I could give these people minus 5 I quite happily would. I have never come across such appalling customer support in my whole life apart from outlook.com so here's the story Number of IT clients across London and one of them had problems with her outlook account so I advised her to sign up with Proton Mail big mistake. One morning when she tried to login, she received a message saying that our account had been suspended due to suspicious activity on her account and below that was a link ...

A good privacy based email service

I have been using this email service for about 6 months. I think it's a very good free privacy based email service. One thing that could be done better is the pricing. I'll give an example, a 5GB account is 4€/month which is a lot for only 5GB. But something like Gmail gives 15GB for free and the upgrades are a lot cheaper. I would recommed Protonmail to anyone wanting to switch from Gmail or Outlook but beware of the prices.
