Good service, no spam email, friendly support and fast refund ( I cancelled subscription plan and requested refund, customer service was cared about the rest).

Just unreliable

Totally unreliable. I only created an account there to be able to sign up on a game site. I never used or did anything else with that Protonmail account - for more than five years. I noticed then the rebranding and wanted to check it out, my password didn't work, I reset it, and my account got locked for no reason directly after resetting the password. I am Protonmail payed Customer for 5 Years. Maybe one of their first customers. They charged me to early for the yearly subscribtion. The period I already payed has 4 month left. I wrote the sales team and get no answer. So I opened a dispute on PayPal. A few hours later my account an Protonmail was locked. Protonmail has fallen. This is not a safe place to keep your emails any longer. It should be obvious from their new designs which are riddled with occult imagery and boasting government partnership grants.

I have to say Im very surprised by some the reviews on here! I have been a Plus member with Proton since 2017. I use their email and VPN services every day and have done for almost 5 years. I have had no real issues in that time. On the odd occasion I have contacted the support team they have responded in a timely manner and always helped resolve anything first time. UPDATE: good since 2016 and still good!

I've used protonmail since 2016 and have had a good experiences. My previous rant was an error of misunderstanding and unfamiliarity with the new look. I was looking for a file that it turns out was never sent! Sorry to proton for incorrectly maligning them. I still love their email service and find it very useful!

I didn't appreciated the Ukraine sustain email I received when the war started. Independently on everyone's opinion I think it's bad to judge a great nation without criticism and logic. I believe that an e-mail provider should remain far away from global issues.

Except for the mobile ui/ux design protonmail is great. I'm slowly moving to pm from gmail. Please update the app and implement material design.
