Worst email service out there.

Worst email service out there. Had my account over a year and then yesterday they disabled it and when I ask them why they said I used it to sign up for another service more then once… So now they are spying on what I use my private email for? I thought proton was meant to be all about privacy? What a joke of a service… Don’t ever trust any of protons services…. I am now unable to retrieve important emails from my account and proton refuse todo anything.

Unable to receive emails from senders…

Unable to receive emails from senders not even from amazon.com I transferred all my emails to proton mail from gmail. Now I can't even log back into proton email account because my login info is incorrect? If there was anything that should have done after downloading proton mail regarding settings, filters , lists I was not notified.

Really good privacy-oriented mail service, but I don't understand why it requires phone number / recovery email at sign up because I don't want to share my phone or work email address

They ban your email without any warning

I never seen a company that ban your email account without any notice, I suffered to get my PayPal and steam accounts back

I just love Proton. I've been an unlimited user for some time and I can say that I think it's definitely worth it. Having access to email with aliases, filters, encryption, security, privacy (hopefully), really cool keyboard shortcuts and intuitive design; calendar with importable calendars; VPN; 500GB of Drive space is just amazing. Suspended in less than 24 hours

I have an existing Protonmail (free) account which I've used for around two years. Due to a combination of spam and regret over the previous username I chose, I decided to create a brand new account with the intention of migrating the old account over to the new one... Simple, right? However, the new account was suddenly suspended in less than 24 hours and is now permanently blocked. I'd literally sent ONE e-mail from the account in the short time I had it!
