Poor Support

I have been with Proton several years and their support has never been fast but it keeps getting worse. I send a support request for my two paid accounts 7 days ago and as usual I am still waiting for a reply.

EDIT: After problems with my payment and a long waiting time, the problems got finally solved and I changed the review. Overall the service is good, just had problems with the adding of the sent money

The support is slow and incompetent

The support is slow and incompetent - only email and takes a week just to have them ask useless questions and then send useless links I could before I needed to call for support. The VPN does not work on iPhone - blocks all internet link of apps and even blocks their own emails from being downloaded. Problem started Sep 2, 2022, 23:36 GMT (look at the dates) with no emails updating on phone. Protonmail useless support. Apple on the phone and in 15 minutes isolated ProtonVPN the problem and ...

Use their free emailer BUT beware of anything more complex.

If you want their simple free edition, its good. But try anything more complex, especially if you are a small business, forget it - shockingly bad service and nothing will wake these somnolent dwarves, once that they have taken your money. We have given up and written the time, energy and money off as a bad experience. Unless yo have an excellent IT department, don't use them!

I have been using ProtonMail for several years now and I can confidently say that it is the best email service I have ever used. The level of security and privacy they offer is unparalleled, and their user interface is intuitive and easy to use. I find it so utterly frustrating

I find it so utterly frustrating, infuriating and just plain strange that I cannot recover my own password because I don’t have a recovery method. I’m not sure why I don’t have a recovery method or why one was not set up. account is blocked without reason, service not responding 3rd day...

they talk about the vaunted Swiss quality :) I have a paid subscription (email + vpn, paid in advance for 1 yr.). My account was blocked with a reason "your account was flagged due to suspicious activity regarding your account". The customer service is zero – the support answers for several days. Very bad and unprofessional service

Actually , This is the worst email client that I have come across in my life. Thanks to the testimonies of others here . It is very clear that they have a robotic anti abuse system that keep locking up people's account and when you contact them , they will tell you that they cannot do anything about it as the anti abuse system has flagged it .
