Deeam ideals but poor execution.
From a security point of view these guys were completely inferior due to their meager storage. Now they have increased the free capacity to 15GB which is sufficient and the paid top tier to 500GB which is probably enough for most storage needs. It's impossible to know how secure they are, and personally I'd encrypt anything I upload to their drive. That said the drive calendar and mail option are a bonus. Shame there's no notes. Made an account today, logged in later and it said it was under criminal investigation. Did I email someone under investigation? No clue. I didn’t get any harmful or illegal material or I would have reported it

Don't expect more from CS than some dude rubbing their nipples.
Customer service of Proton is really bad if you ask me. They have black friday deals/cyber monday deals that are only availible to new customers, which isn't even allowed by law (EU) since they display the discount on their main site for every user to see, it's MISLEADING. = After accidentially having bought a yearly subscription on my wrong account, i contacted CS to get this credit transferred to my original account. They did so and now i can pay 12 euro a month instead about 8$ like ...

Well above the rest
I have been using Proton Mail now for almost 5 years, not one issue. Privacy on the internet has never been of much importance to people but it is to me, this is a major step in the right direction. I have a free account, I have a paid account. These people put out great products and I couldn't be more excited for whats in the pipeline.

Very disappointed with Protonmail and…
Very disappointed with Protonmail and regret getting accounts. Had two accounts and have been ousted from both and unable to access. The writing window to construct emails is also stupidly small (on a regular size laptop). Though mostly the frustration lies with loosing access to two email accounts and all stored information there and important emails.

They blocked the e-mail where my bitcoins were stored. I contacted the support service, but they can't unblock to transfer accounts to other e-mail or addresses. It was 4 months ago, but I haven't forgotten it. This e-mail platform is a big scam.

The worst customer service I have ever seen in my entire life. The most important part of every company is customer care. They don't care at all. Obviously became too big. I cannot acces emails and attachments only because I changed my password. I used my confirmed back up email account when changing. I had no idea i would get locked out of my emails just because i changed my password. I am frozen out of my work. I have a paid proton email account, paid a year in advance. Bad experience with proton paid emaill account
This will never happen when using Gmail. But this may happen to Proton email Proton suspended my paid email account By blocking my email account, my personal and professional activities are also blocked, I have not been able to work for 24 hours. In my case, it really affects my business when can not get access to my account now. My paid subscription was paid in full 3 weeks ago, yet my business account was disabled yesterday for non-payment (!). Prior to that, I tried to alert support about my invoice status not being updated - useless, they do not have any Customer support! Just a sham.
