Horrible (The worst) e-mail provider

My proton mail account and the e-mail which i have been using mainly for a lot of my important stuff has been disabled yesterday out of the blue because apparently I got reported (never done anything illegal with it) btw, but it seems that one report is enough for Proton to disable someones main email and never let them access or view any incoming e-mails or back up older ones. Tried all the recover data possible,nothing has worked

Too good to be true

The customer service of this company is extremely slow and poor. You can only contact them through ZenDesk e-mail and the responses are slow if you receive any at all. I will be leaving this service as soon as I can. Don't ever use this service for time sensitive e-mail. Customer for over 3 years.

Bugged software and customer service gives run around about obtaining refund

Paid for the Mail Plus plan during the Black Friday sale. However, when I wanted to create a local, unencrypted backup of my email using Proton's bridge software, I ran into the mail UID bug, which I later learned hasn't been fixed despite Proton apparently knowing about it for a year and a half and an open bug report about it on GitHub. deleted my email without reason

They deleted my email for no reason. I wrote to their support mail and never got a reply. I had work in that mail lost forever. Absolutely not recommended.

Not an alternative to Exchange

Tried the system as an alternative to Microsoft Exchange for about 30 minutes with their "30 day money back guarantee". So many issues with the system - with Exchange I have two email addresses - one for me and one for my outside contractor. Takes money, offers nothing and appalling customer service AVOID!!!

Appalling customer service. I paid a full-year subscription for their upgraded package. Still, Proton Mail has responded by blocking me from using any services, including the intellectual property I own, as they claim an outstanding invoice for £40 from 2021. I signed up with them and paid in 2020 but could never use their service as they offered a paltry 5GB email account.
