Customers support for paid users is very slow and not always professional. I've been a customer for 3 years and was planning to upgrade to unlimited plans for both personal and business accounts. But. Lately it takes a lot of time for them to answer. This situation combined with worrisome reviews of other customers makes me reconsider a what was a great option. Protonmail is a SCAM

Protonmail is a SCAM! I paid in advance for a 2 year email subscription. I got an email to renew just 6 months later saying the account was "overdue". They then claim my account was set up on "monthly" billing when they are at fault for not adjusting the billing to reflect the promotion that I subscribed to. Horrible scam!! No amount of emails back and forth resolve the issue because it is past a 30 day refund window. Again, a scam... offer 1 to 2 year subscriptions and then stiff people 6 ...

Misleading service promising online freedom but...

Misleading service promising online freedom but they locked my email account for 6 months after they charged me 2 years subscription of email and crappy VPN. I believe they are not a good fit for anyone trying to protect your privacy and account access. As soon I put a dispute for this bad service they locked my account without warning until the dispute was closed.

My Facebook account is comprised

My Facebook account is comprised. I didn't know what happened. I just sat 3 days to find out why I could not sign in to my account. This company HACKED my Facebook account and I still can not get into it. I sent a message so I really hope this is resolved quickly. I am a little bit mad at this point.

they are a big scam

they are a big scam. they read all your emails. all of there claim about privacy is false.

Great services

Amazing support and they improve all their services constantly. The Drive is pretty fine. The Mail service is great and works absolutely good. Its worth to try it out.

many servers block protonmail

the concept is sound. but unfortunately, so many servers block emails originating from protonmail as suspected spam or malware that it renders it useless for communication since my emails never get to their intended recipients

Why was the review deleted

Why was the review deleted? I've been using proton for a long time and have never had any problems! It's such a big and cool company that it would never bribe users! I am outraged!

Slimy practices

I subscribed thinking I would get a decent service. However, the calendar and mail apps are pretty much not functional with third party clients. The web apps are not progressive web apps, which is a mistake. I paid $5 to them, but I did not want to pay more for the service. Upon unsubscribing, they downgraded my account immediately. So what exactly did I pay for? Nobody knows. A company that does this is not pro-consumer, quite the opposite. I'd be very wary of connecting all of my accounts ...
