"It's a solid choice for email needs"

What do you like best about Protonmail? It's security features. It's the main thing that made me try it out in the first place. What do you dislike about Protonmail? Its user interface is not as intuitive as others out there. I found myself overlooking some buttons and/or icons often. What problems is Protonmail solving and how is that benefiting you? It allowed me to send some emails securely during my testing phase.

Account being closed for "abuse"…

Account being closed for "abuse" randomly due to Proton's arbitrary rules. I don't know of a single email provider that would disable not only your main email and backup account because "we don't allow multiple emails" as it's seen as "abuse." I strongly recommend looking at other providers if setting up and email address or two of your own.

Fantastic service, been using for years.

I think this is one of those situations where happy customers never write reviews. I've been using Protonmail for free for ~7 years, maybe longer. I've been a paid user for just under a year. In all this time I've never had any issues, everything works flawlessly. Proton Unlimited is fantastic, I use the VPN 24/7 without any problems whatsoever. Simplelogin is a GODSEND. Get yourself a free Anonymous email address, but don’t buy anything.

Paid for the complete package for roughly six months, and randomly one day lost access to all of the services I was paying for. Every time I try to log in I get a message that says the account is under investigation for breaching Protons terms of service. Contacting customer services Is a complete waste of time, told me there is nothing that can be done to regain access to my account, and suggested contacting their legal team. Superb intuitive interface, very helpful and friendly support, hefty security (client-side encryption): I feel like I’m walking the sunlit uplands after the mire that was my former go-to email, Hotmail (alas).

Absolute FRAUDS!

FRAUDS. They charge ridiculous high prices for mediocre services. For example, their VPN is very slow and very expensive. If you decide to cancel your subscription, they will randomly close your account without warning. Customer service can't help, they just copy paste their answers. They are like the other big tech companies: FRAUDS. They also changed their link from protonmail dot com to proton dot me. I wonder why? Avoid at all costs!

Please do not trust or use proton My self and my friends were using Proton email to send Secure emails to Home office. The have suspended after giving all the explanation enabled last week and then blocked again today. We have contacted home office to change the email address but they can't change the email address while the application on progress. Be warned if you forget your password proton encrypts your emails

I have been using proton mail for a while and recently I forgot my password like we all do sometimes. Little did I know proton would encrypt all my emails and I have no way to get them back unless I have a file, phrase or my prior password which I don't have. I have been using Proton Mail for many many years, and never had any issues. That was not the case recently, as they did block my account I felt like being punished for no reason, they claim spam or something illegal. As they can check and verify I never sent any spam or illegal stuff, and I connect to public WiFi where other people have access as well and opened accounts just like me .
