Went from several surveys a day, to several a month. The few that I do get accepted to, are usually problematic (fussy researchers, study not loading, or underpaying). Attention checks that are obviously done in a manner as to trick or catch participants out, should result in an instant ban to the researcher, as should underpayment. Yes, I have contacted customer service about some of these issues, but usually no response from either CS or the researchers, and I had to chase the issues up ...

Much more interesting than any survey site

The academic studies on this site are far more interesting and varied than what you get on survey sites, and new studies are posted quite frequently. They also pay better than most of the survey sites. Unlike some other people posting here, I've never had any problems with my account status, or with getting paid promptly.

Put my account on hold then wouldn’t allow me to have one with no reason why. Customer services isn’t great either.. would not recommend Also to add once I wanted to make a complaint they stated they would not be communicating with me further. This seems to be an on going issue !!!!! No reason what so ever to ban people very strange Don’t even acknowledge emails either

WORST website ever, avoid at all costs!!!!!!

Someone else below left a review about Prolific banning people's accounts for no reason whatsoever. I can 100% attest to that. The exact same thing happened to me too. I have been an honest reviewer with Prolific from the start, with a lot of researchers even getting back to me with bonuses and positive feedback. Then suddenly I stopped receiving surveys, so I contact Prolific and they send me an email stating: 'I'm afraid you won't be able to take part in further studies on Prolific ...

Has worked flawlessly for me but…

Has worked flawlessly for me, cashed out significant amounts in a few weeks! But they seem to be rejecting new applications without explanation which is concerning as I’ve just recommended them to a lot of my subscribers

No support so far…

Asked the support why my account is on hold and if is there anything possible to do to remove the hold. No answer... For two weeks... Besides that, good overall experience.

Was great for the first month I was signed up! Made £110 in the first 4 weeks then in the last 3 months I've made £17 and had no surveys for about 6 weeks and there's nothing they can do apparently. Bit of a strange site to be honest, not sure what to make of it.

Cashing out is impossible

I loved taking the surveys and I have been completing them for over a month and have cashed out multiple times, but have not received anything to my PayPal. I have reached out and I just get the same generic email response they send when having cashing out issues. I stopped doing the surveys since it's a waste of time if I am never going to get the money and the customer service is slow and not very helpful. I really like this site and survey…

I really like this site, great surveys/studys is easy to use also to pay out, plus nice you helping students with research. Is just a shame Im not getting many at moment as most of them really fun and interesting. Fingers crossed it will pick up again.

I have been a participant on Prolific for well over 2 years now. They were a good site - lots of interesting surveys and always paid reasonably and fairly quickly. I never had anyone expressing any problems with my work and my surveys were always approved by the people giving them. But since July 2021 I stopped receiving any survey invites and no surveys were showing up on the site itself.
