blocked

They ban people without explanation. They underestimate loyal and longtime participants. These studies are not ordinary surveys, but research. I do not believe that there are people who do not have any flaws in this research. Often there are people who try very hard but are unlucky and something will not go their way (like tests at school). In addition, the principals do not pay for poorly performed tests and instead they will take another person, so I do not understand what the problem is ...

*BANS WITHOUT REASON* Don't waste your time!

I have been using prolific for years up until yesterday when I was banned with no explanation. Over 350 accepted surveys with over £450 earned AND attending face to face participation in London! When questioned I'm am told my account has been automatically flagged and reviewed manually and being upheld with absolutely NO explanation other than generic responses. 10000000% something shady is going on here for me to be using it for so long and then boom, nothing. To provide no clear ...

Takes your data

It was great site at first. I had over 600 submissions and made close to a £1000 and hen one day I woke up and got banned. I thought I may have done something that broke the rules but I cannot recall anything. My cousin also got banned a day later and he was also part of prolific for a few years. After being such a long serving member of prolific I feel very let down. The lack of reasoning as to why everyone gets banned makes me feel as though there is no reason. If you use a VPN once is ...

I'm a user and a worker

I'm a user and a worker. Based on the restrictions they put on workers to dedicate time for answers, I fully trusted it and I used it to collect data 3 times.

BLOCKED

all was going fine until my account was blocked and I was told I could no longer use it anymore as I missed ONE check, but have been using the site for years and hadnt missed one but get penalized for missing one - with 0 explanation and when i ask for more information they was unable to give it jus completely closed the account. will not be recommending people to use this!

Banned because I failed manual checks

Banned because I failed manual checks? Warned not to attempt making a new account. No reason other than this given. I have been a diligent user and have faithfully completed 116 surveys and I have never breached rules. Prolific are scammers that collect data and sell it on for profit. They encourage you to download spyware on to your computer and pay you pennies and then they drop you without explanation. I asked for the reason and they couldn’t tell me and said it was final and ...

Non-transparent business behaviour

Prolific blocks the account without notice or explanation. Internal automatic checks would have revealed this. The support is super aggressive and not at all solution-oriented! The credit accumulated so far is simply retained.

Ban without reason

I worked for prolific for about 2 weeks in summer. They had interesting surveys and they paid a fair wage but after 2 weeks surveys stopped coming. No warning nothing. After a couple of months i decide to sent them an email and they answered me that they had banned me but they couldn't tell me the reason. Personally i dont think i did something that it would be a valid reason to ban me but even so it's totally unprofessional that you don't even informed me that i was banned. I had prolific ...

The studies pay

The studies pay, the minimum withdrawal amount is only £5. Payments are guaranteed. Some studies are approved immediately and some need time for approval. You can also cancel your participation on a study if you don't want to continue.

Used to be good, better off finding an alternative now

Prolific used to be good, back when I believe they actually had an internal review team/payed attention to GDPR concerns. I'm pretty sure they've reduced this to one guy who plays League of Legends all day. After completing surveys for over four years, providing accurate and honest answers, I was banned and no reason given. I have no issue with being removed from a platform due to a legitimate reason, but to not even provide one, or the option for review, is quite scummy in my ...
