AVOID AT ALL COSTS - THEY LIE AND REMOVE YOU

As with many of the other reviews on here, after being a valuable member of Prolific for over a year, they suddenly banned me with 0 explanation why. Their excuse is that "you may have failed one or more of our automated checks on accounts to maintain our high standards." However, if they were truly doing this to "maintain high standards" why would this involve removing individuals who have kept the site going. Absolutely appalling, avoid this website at all costs.

DODGY AVOID!!

My neighbour asked me to join this and said he earned a lot so thought I would give it ago. Was great to start with now all of the sudden they have deleted my account with no explanation as to why ? This is extremely concerning after giving out personal details. People trust these sites to actually earn money due to some people like myself who don't work because I am a stay at home mum! I hope they get in trouble for this as it seems like they just drop people wherever they feel like it and ...

Used to use them fine. Then they just banned me out of the blue. BANG Just like that. I asked them why... they wouldn't tell me. I kept asking... and they still wouldn't tell me and the "ended communication with me." This isn't the sort of behaviour I expect from ANY company. Has it left with me with a positive impression? They are deleting accounts on Prolific because your account has failed one or more of our automated checks. I have been using this platform for more than a year, but now without any explanation, they have deleted my account! They are just taking free data. Avoid them

AVOID AT ALL COSTS‼️

They ban you for no reason at all - you give your bank details to a site and then they ban you (seems concerning). I reached out and Jeremy advised me that they aren’t required to give us a reason - makes me wonder if it’s something discriminatory. They’ve now advised that they refuse to discuss the matter any further which is concerning as this site has my personal details and ID etc.

Possible bias towards dark skin, auto-rejected based on ID verification

I applied to sign up, got on the waiting list, and after a couple weeks they sent me an email saying I can register. I did, filled out the questionnaire, made a username and password, and uploaded a passport photo and a selfie to verify who I was. Within seconds of clicking "upload" I was rejected with the message "We can't verify your ID. Sorry, but we weren't able to verify you against the identification you used and are therefore unable to offer you a place as a participant on Prolific. ...

Okay, so hear me out. I started it about two years ago, it was going great, plenty of surveys coming up, I took my time and ended up with about £40, took it out.
