Reliable service to achieve my email marketing needs for all of my clients
What do you like best? I really like the tracking, metrics and reporting, plus good email delivery rates. Easy bounce management via API. Connects to WordPress and PHP easily. Competitive pricing! What do you dislike? DNS setup is hard to understand based on which DNS provider is being used; the from addresses can be pretty ugly/long, but this could be just how it is everywhere. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Many of my ...

Great for sending emails, but can be a little complicated to setup for a novice
What do you like best? It's a free service if you want it to be, but for higher volumes a cost is involved. Being free makes it an ideal choice for developers who need to be able to send emails, but without the burden of having to spend money. Being able to create credentials is straight forward and integration is well documented. What do you dislike? It can be a little complicated for a novice as there is a lot to take in and understand. However, the documentation is helpful, although ...

Mailgun is great tool for sending mailing lists via API
What do you like best? Mailgun is truly a spectacular application! I integrated it into the control panel of websites, to send mailing lists, even quite thick. Use by recalling the features both through api and in the classic way, via smtp. All this in a panel written in .net. It is also very useful the webhook function, in fact you can set up scripts, in your control panel that are recalled every time an event happens: example sent mail, mail delivery undelivered mail; in this last case ...

Great way to avoid the pains of managing your own email server
What do you like best? Mailgun helps do away with personally managing IPs and blacklists and all of the other things that make email delivery so problematic. What do you dislike? Every once in a while you'll get a bad IP - but support has always been good about swapping them out. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Our emails get delivered. This is a huge deal for us. It's all we really expect of Mailgun.

The best API for the mail delivery service
What do you like best? Mailgun is a great way to deliver transactional emails. I used it with both the API and the SMTP configuration, and I was very satisfied. The free account allows you to send many emails in the monthly time frame. If you limit the limit, you will have to pay the extra part. Prices are still accessible. I had the opportunity to test the support through tickets and all the time they answered me quickly enough, solving the problem. What do you dislike? ...

Easy to use SMTP Relay for self-hosters
What do you like best? Mailgun provides the largest amount of free outgoing/incoming emails of the major SMTP relays, and provides several easy to follow guides in order to implement it on many popular self-hosted platforms. If you need to pass more than 10,000 messages per month, they are reasonably priced. What do you dislike? Mailgun is marketed primarily towards mass-messaging businesses, and as such, the tools and dashboard are biased towards that service. It's understandable, as ...

Best solution for transactional emails
What do you like best? I love the pricing of mailgun, you get to send 12.000 free emails each month without any limits on sending per day or per hour. The service uptime is outstanding, the API is well documented and easy to get started with. All in all a good service that I highly recommand. What do you dislike? I use mailgun only for transactions emails, and I don't have any complaint. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? The ...

Best API out there
What do you like best? The API is the easiest and most convenient to integrate. Also, their customer service is excellent. They are willing to help even their customers on the free plan and very fast! What do you dislike? Nothing so far. But do keep in mind that some of their IP's for the free accounts are blocked, but that is only because people like to abuse services like Mailgun. So just contact their customer support, be reasonable, and do not spam, and I'm sure they will treat you ...

Only keep logs for 30 days
What do you like best? When it works, it sends email to people What do you dislike? Mailgun purges logs after 30 days so when you are mistakenly charged for sending 55k emails, despite having only 500 people on your list, as happened to me, they will throw up their hands and make you eat the cost. Customer service would not hear my side of it and refused to budge. In addition, adding members to a list occasionally fails which was causing my user registration to fail, resulting in ...

Great service for the entry level packages.
What do you like best? If you are just starting out, you are most likely going to stay under 10,000 email per month limit of the free package. Don't have to pay anything. Other thing that I like is that you can add multiple domains. Domain Verification and DNS are super easy. Reports tells you how many emails processed, delivered, suppressed, dropped, etc. and you can download reports in CSV format if needed. Customer Service is great over live chat. What do you dislike? If you ...
