Looker gives a lot of flexibility, although scaling can take effort
What do you like best? LookML is fairly easy to learn and use. Once a model is developed it can give a lot of flexibility. What do you dislike? The flexibility can be overwhelming to some users, and occasionally dangerous. We have had issues scaling to many concurrent users. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Problems: Handling 500+ concurrent users.

Review from Services Partner Perspective
What do you like best? the interoperability with the data ecosystem is very interesting both in terms of importing and exporting data as well as the embed options What do you dislike? Historically the color palette was a little boring. The new version looks much better. I know some clients are enamored by D3 but I think it's generally too much overhead but features that do provide more 'pop' than standard biz graphics are worth expanding. Recommendations to others considering the ...

Great visualizations and version control
What do you like best? The version control feature is great to be on top of the data modeling and be able to control development. Drill down is incredibly useful in helping users to keep asking questions to the data. User attributes and access grant is what we needed to be on top of data access and customize dashboards based on user groups What do you dislike? Not being able to drill back to the previous screens is a feature that is missing. What problems are you solving with the ...

Networking + New Features
What do you like best? The upcoming developer marketplace and extensions got me more excited than anything else this year. What do you dislike? I would have liked to see more in-depth examples during the hands-on sessions, everything felt very introductory, which was disappointing. Recommendations to others considering the product: It's really a great solution from early in your company's lifecycle through expansion. Plan your model out before deploying a single line... Looker Usage Review
What do you like best? The ease of making dashboards on the fly and also the extent to which LookML can be adapted to meet the business needs. What do you dislike? I am a bit worried that having all the transformations on the LookML layer makes the application layer heavy; I am not sure about performance effect of this on the dashboards. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Integrating all the data sources in my company to provide a ...

Learn about the possibilities of the product.
What do you like best? Being new to Looker, lookML seems great. Seeing the customization and flexibility, it helps to figure out what can be achieved with the product. What do you dislike? Too new to product to figure that out. With more usage, this may be apparent. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We are building a new reporting stack and Looker is the choosen BI tool.

Great event, with great product roll updates!
What do you like best? I enjoyed the partner day and the support from the entire Looker team. What do you dislike? I got close to 60 stamps and it was only worth 10 points. SMH. Was really fun event. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Helping bring data / analytics to the DTC market and letting them make data driven decisions well before the can afford a team that would traditionally build it for them.

Going through On boarding phase
What do you like best? The expertise and response time is has been great. The Looker team has a plan in place and makes it priority that their customers/ potential customers have a great experience throughout the process. What do you dislike? None really, just be prepared for to allocate time for the workload your dev team is going to need as you go through the initial install. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Having a data ...
