Looker provides competitive data analysis.

What do you like best? Looker is a very useful program, I like that the boards are in real time, in this way I can establish criteria of ideas live. In addition, the central metadata management is excellent. Basically the metadata language give a considerable advantage to the analysis. In short, it is very easy to use, access to data is fast and integration with third parties can be visualized very simply. What do you dislike? I consider the configuration to customize the program a ...

Does most things I need but could be smoother

What do you like best? There's lots of flexibility in Looker to use data. I regularly combine tables both through making Explores and through SQL runner. Making an Explore is straight forward and allows for a lot of customisation, down to field names, styling, making bucketed fields, using aliases. The drag and drop functionality is intuitive to use once you understand a bit about data, and Looker is accessible company wide. What do you dislike? The chart and graph offerings have ...

Great platform for empowering users with data

What do you like best? how easy it is to make complex data accessible. What do you dislike? We're using pweredby Looker which perhaps doesn't get quite so much attention as the 'main product' Recommendations to others considering the product: Invest time in your user adoption strategy, It's simple and powerful for technical users but the rest of the business will need some hand holding What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? We're ...

User friendly and logical

What do you like best? I think Looker design is very effective and is easily usable even at first log in. What do you dislike? Looker might become very slow when processing lots of data and even when downloading them. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? I am using Looker to create dashboards that answer specific questions asked by the executives in my company.

Looker Review

What do you like best? Very easy to onboard new end-users, both internal and external. Version control allows for extra safe-guards when onboarding new data team members so we can get them up and running as quick as possible. What do you dislike? More data integrity testing features would be nice (love the new test feature, but CI would be even better). Ability to opt out or lock down new features (i.e. Boards) to have more flexibility with different business use cases What problems ...

Actionable Insights Simplified

What do you like best? Looker has really intuitive dashboards with more control on the data that is being viewed. The flexibility to slice and dice through data is so much more easier. Love the part about tying in actions like notifications on emails, apps, alerts into user stories that prompt business users to take an action and provide them with sufficient insights to base their decisions upon. What do you dislike? It needs good amount of training to be able to use it, so people who ...

Looker is great!

What do you like best? Easy to use. Easy to transfer power out of engineering and into hands of business people What do you dislike? For a team just getting started in data, I wish Looker provided more support / guidance (tutorials or webinars) on other parts of the data pipeline and when/why you should consider using them. We're building everything from the ground up at a small company, and so not having a ton of pre-existing data experience, it's hard to know if we're getting full ...

Solid BI Tool

What do you like best? I feel like Looker listens to its customers and values the experience. New features often are fixing issues I've had. Chat support is phenomenal. What do you dislike? I want to be able to do admin tasks in bulk more easily. Recommendations to others considering the product: Looker is only getting better with time. It's hard to say that about many other companies. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? we have ...

Transparent Reporting Layer

What do you like best? I have always been the biggest fan of the fact that anyone can click into the LookerML to be able to understand how a metric or dimension is defined. What do you dislike? I believe the exporting to Presentation or Multi look filtering is a big hole. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? identifying spend optimization given customer lifetime value.
