excellent

What do you like best? how simple it is to use looker, if you have no experience you are still able to access data. What do you dislike? that you dont have a banners option or add 'custom' error messages What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? accessing the data is now possible, where before we were heavily reliant on excel.

Makes my life easier

What do you like best? Love being able to create an explore and then a dash or look for user's questions and send it to them once. No more SQL queries and excel pivots 😄 What do you dislike? Wish that some of the more advances SQL capabilities were possible. We need to add subqueries regularly so I find myself creating a lot of derived tables What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Mostly solving product data visibility issues. We now have ...

Amazing team, great product

What do you like best? For me, the best part of Looker has been the LookML. The team (support, training, sales) makes is also the best I've worked with. What do you dislike? Our main challenge with Looker is the lack of formatting options with exporting data to Excel. Many execs (internal and clients) work with Excel, and the fact that each table exports as a separate CSV makes it very difficult for them to use. The visualizations could be better but it sounds like that's coming in ...

Great data platform, visuals are improving

What do you like best? Data governance is made easy by being able to track data definitions and models. What do you dislike? The visuals need work - mostly the ability to customize colors/spacing and the structure of data display. It appears that this is improving with the Looker 7 features being rolled out. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Distribution of financial reports through automated sendout, easier for different groups to ...

Good experience so far

What do you like best? The ease of data modeling and I'm surprised by the availability of quick hacks to make things happen. Liquid, Looker APIs rank in the top of the list for me What do you dislike? Probably visualization options. I would really like a dashboard capability with multiple tabs, natively without the need to embed looker What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? Getting a holistic view of our data, combining multiple data ...

Looker provides a modern and flexible tool for data exploration and analysis

What do you like best? Looker makes use of database connections to bring your data into the tool without moving it. This means that there is no delay waiting for data to load into the tool. LookML then allows you to structure the data into a proper BI format that allows the less technical users to explore the data in an easy GUI format. Dashboards then allow analysts to present the results of their explorations. APIs also allow flexibility to bring Looker insights into other tools, or ...
