I have been actively using GoCardless for some months now. I personally didn't look favourably at the recent VAT charges on fees but I guess tax is tax and very little can be done about it. Nonetheless, it's fees are definitely competitive if not less than other competitors.Customer service is keen to listen and respond to your questions. I even recommended GoCardless to 2x other businesses and I know one of the two has signed up and already collecting some of its revenue via GoCardless. So ...

GoCardless is great - the best option for collecting Direct Debit payments. They've received a lot of hate recently because the prices increased slightly. Sure that's not ideal, but it's still far cheaper to collect DD payments with GoCardless than it is to process credit/debit card payments through ANY gateway.

holding our funds for 3 weeks.

We have been waiting since the 09th of December to receive a large amount of money. We have over 800 active customers on their database and to be fobbed off every time we call means its time to move all of our customers onto a different platform. Today we were told to wait until the new year due to annual leave. Completely unacceptable.
