direct debits for a memberships scheme

clear interface, helpful support staff, and reasonable fees.- would be good if we could initiate our own refunds instead of having to create a support ticket every time. - would be good if the processing time for confirming mandates was quicker like with cards.

Good transparent policies and trading method

We have been using GoCardless for our direct debit customers for 12 months now and overall are very happy to continue to do so. There are a couple of improvements that could be made regarding ease of use (navigating the screens when setting up multiple payments etc) however it is certainly easy to pick up.

Good basic level service if you simply want to collect Direct Debits

We use the basic service to collect our Membership Fees and Donations via Direct Debit. It is basic, in terms of customisation but it does what we need, is easy to integrate into our website and it generally does it well. It could provide a few extra capabilites, such as being able to display some of our Metadata on their sunnary screens, but I'm nit pciking here. On the occasions that I've had to use their support desk my queries have been handled effectively within an acceptable time frame.
