When I found out that Appfolio was initially created to organize files for law offices, I thought that explained a lot of the issues I had with it. It is very good at organizing people, files, and data, but some of the property management specific tasks give it trouble. There are a lot of tasks, especially involving lease renewals that take a very long time, and things I would expect to auto-populate like late fees, or changes in parking rent, need to be entered manually. Nothing is as promised. We still need help after leaving 20 voicemails with no response.

I'm pretty disappointed. We transitioned to appfolio a few months ago. We were promised to have all the support we need - it's been a nightmare since we switched and communication has been horrible. A few months in, we've spent countless hours trying to use incorrect instructions from appfolio. This month we've been requesting a support call to fix errors since the 10th. "Great software concept - Horrible Support"

What do you like best? The software, for the most part, is very easy to use. There are multiple ways to document information and keep up with the work you are doing. The software in and of itself is a wonderful fit for a busy property management company.
