When I found out that Appfolio was initially created to organize files for law offices, I thought that explained a lot of the issues I had with it. It is very good at organizing people, files, and data, but some of the property management specific tasks give it trouble. There are a lot of tasks, especially involving lease renewals that take a very long time, and things I would expect to auto-populate like late fees, or changes in parking rent, need to be entered manually. Appfolio for HOA Management
We use Appfolio for HOA management and it has almost all the features available in other HOA management software. The differences between the other software and Appfolio is Appfolio's ease of use, the multiple drill down features, and Appfolio's continuous addition of new and meaningful features.

Overall pretty good
Overall, Appfolio is a good management software program. There are areas that need improvement, and how fast the improvements are addressed and created could definitely be faster.
