"Always Seems a LIttle Less User Friendly"
What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? This is a powerful program, it's got lots of good features, they've made several significant improvements over time, and it's where I learned to do screen capture videos for software training. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? That said, it's always seemed a little harder to figure out than similar products by their competitors. Recommendations to others considering Adobe Captivate: Nice product, but consider others as well NOTE to ...

"Easy to use, but could use more functionality around testing"
What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? I like the flexibility that I am offered when using the product - the diverse range of interactions that I can create to help keep a learner engaged and how easy it is to create my own content. If you can use Power Point, Captivate isn't any more difficult! What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? Certain limitations within testing functionality... Can't easily create time limits for tests/knowledge checks within an elearn. What problems is ...

"Instructional Designer review of Adobe Captivate"
What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? Captivate seems to do everything we need and syncs well with all our other systems (and Adobe products obviously). It's a very robust program. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? Difficult to learn, not a super user-friendly interface. But if you're familiar with Adobe products you should have a smoother transition. There are just so many settings and menus and options it's difficult to learn from a layman's standpoint. I took 2 graduate ...

"Excellent Product to create eLearning videos"
What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? I really like the versatility of the product. You can now storyboard your project, add slides, questions for assessments, add images, etc. Then save it in the cloud, collaborate with others and upload it to your captivate on your computer. To make a video it is so easy to manipulate, add PowerPoint, add interactivity, easy to look at what you designed by computer size or mobile size. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? It does take some ...

"Solid Adobe Product for Course Development and Publishing"
What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? Captivate has LOTS of features. It looks and feels like the other Adobe products, and if someone is comfortable with the other Adobe products, navigation and general tool/function usage will be natural. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? I felt a little overwhelmed while learning to use Captivate. If I'd had more experience with Adobe products, I think it would have been a much smoother transition, but I think the user interface is a ...

"Great for interactive software demos"
What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? Captivate is a clear winner if you leverage Adobe LMS or need to create a fully functioning software demo based on screenshots and/or video clips. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? Captivate is a beast and can use up a lot of CPU. Files are only editable in Captivate, so any editors must have their own license. It doesn't have a great tie-in to PowerPoint, like it's competitors. What problems is Adobe Captivate solving and how is that ...
