"disappointed"

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? Tough to say, as there isn't much I like about it. I guess I like the animation options. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? This application is not at all user-friendly. The learning curve is high. Recommendations to others considering Adobe Captivate: use Storyline instead I love Adobe products, and have used Adobe Creative Suite extensively. I was expecting the same quality with this products, and have been very disappointed. What ...

"Captivate: A limitless limited tool"

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? Captivate offers a courseware author a lot of freedom. On first glance it would seem you can do almost anything with it. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? Despite having many versions under their belt, Adobe still puts out Captivate chalk full of bugs and strange limits (or atleast, what seems like limits). For example, hiding question buttons on a slide until you want them to show proves nearly impossible (without some fancy effects). ...

"Captivate"

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? Overall I think it is fairly easy to learn. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? Importing PowerPoints make everything images instead of putting in the individual elements. That means you can't edit things easily. It should function more like Storyline where it imports it exactly the way it is in PowerPoint and everything remains fully editable. Recommendations to others considering Adobe Captivate: Keep imported elements as separate ...

"Adobe Captivate: The Good, the bad and the ugly"

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? Adobe is a solid company with decent customer support. If you can use other Adobe products you are in pretty good stead in starting Captivate. I also liked the educational pricing for Captivate vs. some of the other products I looked it. I think oftentimes companies forget that many of the people who buy their software are not necessarily professional designers, but teachers designing for themselves. Captivate was not cheap, but a better deal ...

"An Excellent Authoring Tool"

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? Captivate continues to improve with each new version. While it is still lacking some functionality with respect to quizzing/assessments, video usage, and other similar details, overall it is an excellent well-rounded tool. It has a variety of options to customize and enhance e-Learning, which make it an appropriate choice for large and small scale operations. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? As one of the larger and more popular ...

"captivate 8 review"

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? fairly flexible when designing interactive elements What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? It can be pretty clunky and buggy. It has some strange rules that make difficult to do exactly what you're hoping for -- most of my support question came back with a "it's not possible to do that" even though they seemed like fairly simple asks. What problems is Adobe Captivate solving and how is that benefiting you? scalable training

"Captivated- kinda"

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? I like the implicit workflow in the interface design. I like the the fact that it has all the basic features, and in-timeline editing. Preset themes and characters are nice. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? Still pretty primitive. Compared to other Adobe products this one has a clunky interface and limited capabilities. Some aspects are less than intuitive. Recommendations to others considering Adobe Captivate: Only Mac friendly app of ...

"Flexible product with many options"

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? The program is fairly easy to use for simple projects like software demos or video tutorials, and is handy for creating custom tours of online courses at my university. I like that the program provides native support for PowerPoint and lets you customize on import, so you can go from a standard 4:3 to slides sized for delivery on an ipad, for example. I like that Adobe has started adding responsive elements as well, since most of what we create ...

"First Authoring Tool Used"

What do you like best about Adobe Captivate? Adobe Captivate was the first authoring tool I've ever used. It taught me the nuts and bolts of creating simulated elearning and for that I am grateful. What do you dislike about Adobe Captivate? Having been introduced to other authoring tools since using Adobe Captivate, I think the user interface is quite intimidating. There are too many buttons and it is overwhelming to the user. One can become fearful of breaking something or pressing the ...
