The short answer: Jamf publishes three business prices. Jamf for Mac costs $12.50 per Mac per month and Jamf for Mobile costs $5.75 per mobile device per month, both billed annually with a 25-device minimum. Jamf Now, for organisations with fewer than 25 employees, starts at $4 per device per month and manages up to 3 devices free. Education plans (Jamf for K-12 and Higher Education) are custom-priced.
Every price below is vendor-published, checked September 2026 on jamf.com, in US dollars. Jamf says localised pricing in other currencies is updated periodically and may not track the exchange rate, so buyers outside the US should ask Jamf or a reseller for a local quote.

How much does Jamf cost per month?
For a business, Jamf costs $12.50 per Mac and $5.75 per iPhone, iPad or other mobile device per month on the full bundles, with annual billing and a 25-device minimum. The smallest possible Jamf for Mac purchase is therefore 25 Macs at $312.50 a month, or $3,750 a year. Small teams on Jamf Now pay from $4 per device per month and can manage up to 3 devices at no cost.
Some worked examples using the published list prices:
| Fleet | Plan | Monthly | Yearly |
|---|---|---|---|
| 25 Macs | Jamf for Mac | $312.50 | $3,750 |
| 50 iPhones | Jamf for Mobile | $287.50 | $3,450 |
| 100 Macs and 100 iPhones | Jamf for Mac + Jamf for Mobile | $1,825 | $21,900 |
| 500 Macs | Jamf for Mac | $6,250 | $75,000 |
These figures are list prices before any volume discount. Jamf offers volume and campus-wide discounts in education, and larger business deals are usually negotiated through Jamf sales or a reseller.
What is included in Jamf for Mac?
Jamf for Mac bundles three products that Jamf historically sold separately:
- Jamf Pro: core macOS device management and workflow automation.
- Jamf Protect: endpoint protection, vulnerability management and content filtering.
- Jamf Connect: identity and access management and Zero Trust Network Access.
Jamf says AI Governance is built into Jamf for Mac with no separate license. Support is standard chat, email or phone, and Jamf recommends paying for Jamf Premium Services for onboarding. The bundles are only sold for Jamf Cloud, so on-premises Jamf Pro customers cannot buy them.
What is included in Jamf for Mobile?
Jamf for Mobile covers iOS, iPadOS, visionOS, watchOS, tvOS and Android. It includes complete mobile device management, mobile threat defence and Zero Trust Network Access for mobile devices, built on the same Jamf Pro, Jamf Connect and Jamf Protect stack. It is the only Jamf business plan that manages Android.
How much does Jamf Now cost?
Jamf Now starts at $4 per device per month and is aimed at organisations with fewer than 25 employees. Jamf’s product page says you can “manage up to 3 devices for free.” It covers macOS, iOS, iPadOS and tvOS with streamlined management, app distribution, passcode enforcement, remote lock and macOS malware protection.
Jamf Now is the right starting point for a small office with a handful of Macs and iPads and no dedicated IT person. Once you pass about 25 devices, or need identity, security bundles or deep automation, the Jamf for Mac and Jamf for Mobile bundles are the upgrade path. The Jamf Now vs Jamf Pro comparison shows how buyers rate the two.
How much does Jamf School and Jamf for education cost?
Jamf does not publish education prices. Jamf for K-12 (Jamf School, Jamf Safe Internet, Jamf Connect and Jamf Protect, with classroom and parent tools) and the Higher Education versions of Jamf for Mac and Jamf for Mobile are all “custom pricing” with device minimums. Jamf says higher education is priced per device with volume-based pricing and campus-wide discounts, and AI Governance is not available for K-12.
Can you buy Jamf Pro on its own?
Jamf’s public pricing page now lists only the bundles and Jamf Now; it does not publish a standalone Jamf Pro price. Standalone Jamf Pro, on-premises deployments and Premium Cloud (Jamf’s hosting option that lets you choose upgrade timing, safelist IPs and customise your URL) are handled through Jamf sales and authorised resellers. If you only need device management and already have security and identity tools, ask for a Jamf Pro quote to compare with the bundle.
Who bought Jamf, and does it change pricing?
Private equity firm Francisco Partners completed its $2.2 billion take-private acquisition of Jamf on January 30, 2026, as reported by PE Hub. Jamf stopped trading on Nasdaq and is now privately held. Jamf has not published any pricing change tied to the deal; the list prices above are what jamf.com showed in September 2026. It is still worth locking in multi-year terms at renewal if price stability matters to you.
Is Jamf just for Apple?
Almost. Jamf for Mac, Jamf Now and Jamf for K-12 are Apple-only. Jamf for Mobile adds Android phones and tablets. No Jamf plan manages Windows PCs, so companies with mixed fleets usually pair Jamf with Microsoft Intune or choose a cross-platform tool. Jamf’s own FAQ positions it as working alongside Intune for Apple devices.
How much do Jamf 100 and Jamf 200 cost?
Jamf 100 and Jamf 200 are training courses and certifications, not software plans. Jamf’s training page says the Jamf 100 Course, an introduction to macOS, iOS and Jamf Pro, is free and “all you pay for is the exam.” Jamf 200 is the next certification level for Jamf Pro administrators; Jamf lists course pricing and formats on each course page, so check there for the current fee.
Is Jamf worth the price?
Jamf is priced at the top of the MDM market. At $12.50 per Mac, it costs several times more than cross-platform tools like Hexnode ($2.20 to $4.70 per device) or Scalefusion ($2 to $6), and 12 times Mosyle’s $1 Business Premium plan. The gap narrows when you count what the bundle includes: endpoint protection, identity and ZTNA that would otherwise be separate purchases.
- Jamf makes sense for Apple-heavy companies with a dedicated Mac admin, strict security requirements and a need for deep Apple controls on day one of each OS release.
- Look elsewhere if you already run Microsoft 365 E3 or E5 (Intune is included; see our Intune pricing guide), if you mainly need cheap Apple management (Mosyle, Apple Business), or if you manage Windows too.
Compare Jamf with every major vendor in our MDM pricing comparison, see the Jamf Pro vs Kandji comparison for the Iru (formerly Kandji) matchup, or browse Jamf Pro alternatives.
Jamf pricing vs Intune, Iru, Mosyle and Hexnode
| Tool | Price for a Mac (per month) | Price for an iPhone (per month) | Minimum | Windows support |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jamf for Mac / Jamf for Mobile | $12.50 | $5.75 | 25 devices per bundle | No |
| Jamf Now | From $4 | From $4 | None published; 3 devices free | No |
| Microsoft Intune Plan 1 | $8 per user, covering all of that user’s devices | None | Yes | |
| Iru (formerly Kandji) | Quote on request | Not published | Yes | |
| Mosyle Business Premium | $1 | $1 | 30 licenses | No |
| Mosyle Fuse | $3 | $1.50 | 30 licenses | No |
| Hexnode UEM | $2.20 (Pro) to $4.70 (Ultimate) per device | 15 licenses | Yes | |
All prices are vendor-published, checked September 2026, on annual billing. The comparison is not like for like: Jamf for Mac bundles endpoint protection, identity and ZTNA, while Mosyle’s Premium and Hexnode’s entry tiers are management only. Mosyle Fuse is the closest Apple-only equivalent to Jamf’s security bundle, and Microsoft sells its equivalent security through Defender and the Intune Suite.
What costs are not included in Jamf’s list price?
- Onboarding: Jamf includes standard support (chat, email, phone) but recommends a paid Jamf Premium Services engagement for implementation.
- Premium Cloud hosting: an optional hosting tier for more control over upgrades, IP safelisting and custom URLs, priced by Jamf sales.
- Training and certification: the Jamf 100 course is free apart from the exam; Jamf lists pricing for higher courses on each course page.
- Windows management: Jamf does not manage Windows, so mixed fleets pay for a second tool such as Intune.
- Currency: non-US buyers are quoted in local currency, which Jamf says may not track the USD exchange rate.
How to get the best Jamf price
- Count devices by type. Macs and mobile devices are priced differently, and each bundle has its own 25-device minimum.
- Audit overlapping tools. If you already pay for endpoint protection or an identity provider, ask whether standalone Jamf Pro is cheaper than the bundle.
- Use the trial. Jamf offers a free 14-day trial; enroll real devices and test your key workflows.
- Ask about Elevate. Jamf says small and medium businesses may receive Elevate, a unified management and security dashboard, free of charge if eligible.
- Negotiate term length. Multi-year and volume commitments are the usual levers in any Jamf quote.
For the wider market, see our guide to the best MDM software. Teams tightening Mac security often review password management at the same time; our 1Password vs Bitwarden for Business comparison covers that decision.
