Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Zoom's core strength is screen sharing and participant management at scale—the platform handles 300+ participants without degradation, and screen sharing works across Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android without additional software. However, verify in your demo that the specific meeting size you need (under 100 vs. 500+) aligns with your plan tier, as participant ...Read more

Zoom pros and cons

  • Excellent customer service with patient and supportive representatives.

  • Easy screen sharing and whiteboard features for enhanced collaboration.

Experience from a new user -

What do you like best? Features - lots of them. Plus free to use for 40 minutes What do you dislike? the initial screen. 1 it looks old school in terms of design layout - especially the icons - Such a shame for a cool program to have such an uncool design layout! Zoom is under selling itself 2 It is not obvious that I have joined a talk session - no warm fuzzy indication that I am in the conversation. 3 the panel at the bottom is only visible when I move the mouse - why?? ...

Zoom - Online group meeting

What do you like best? It is online. You don't have to download any softwares on your laptop. Easy and handy to use with basically with a meeting code. You can turn off the camera and mute yourself during the meeting. You don't have to leave your seat : What do you dislike? I don't know why there are 1-2 times I could not find the meeting room or it was still loading perhaps because then I needed to ask my colleague to add me into the meeting. What business problems are you ...

It’s good but laggy

What do you like best? I do enjoy that you can create personal meetings and schedule calls, it’s overall great for client conference calls. What do you dislike? Despite the type of internet you have, I do find it to be quite laggy. I have it on my phone, desktop and have used the online one as well and it tends to lag every now and then or sign me out. What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? It definitely helped our issue with ...

Best in group calls

What do you like best? The program has been extremely helpful for holding meetings with our busy team and when some team members are traveling (but who still need to attend the meetings. What do you dislike? It's kind of complicated knowing which "meeting room" you're supposed to meet in. Each person who has hosted a meeting has a unique URL address/ID, and some when it comes time to meet with a particular group of people, we have multiple meetings coming up. Not everyone is so tech ...

Zoom outperforms other video conferencing tools!

What do you like best? Zoom is very reliable. I've used it for personal meetings with just one person as well as for work meetings with 10+ attendees. The sound is clear and it's easy to know who's talking. We haven't had it fail us yet. We've tried Skype and GoToMeetings and Zoom works better than both. I appreciate that I can use the free account for personal meetings as well—it makes me feel like they want me to benefit from their product, with or without paying. What do you dislike? ...
