Are you using Zoom?
Spotsaas Editor’s POV
Zoom's core strength is screen sharing and participant management at scale—the platform handles 300+ participants without degradation, and screen sharing works across Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android without additional software. However, verify in your demo that the specific meeting size you need (under 100 vs. 500+) aligns with your plan tier, as participant ...Read more

Must use Software for Video Communication
What do you like best? Zoom meetings are easy to start and join. With some other web meeting platforms, it is difficult getting the software onto your computer. I have found that Zoom installs the first time you click on the meeting link with one-click ease. Recording my meetings in the Zoom Cloud is simple. Click record and then after my meeting is over, I get an email from Zoom with my recording link. Zoom is platform agnostic. It works with computers, laptops, mobile devices, Linux ...

keeps me connected with my various business partners, vendors & product reps
What do you like best? The ease of use, set-up and sharing. Video and call quality is always great through land lines. Working from home once in a while, I appreciate the virtual backgrounds making calls more fun. What do you dislike? Mobile call quality is dicey once in a while. It would also be nice to be able to text conference call information to avoid logging back into your inbox or calendar to get call information. Recommendations to others considering the product: Make sure ...

Their initial response to a serious security vulnerability makes me no longer recommend this product
What do you like best? Zoom allows the meeting to call your phone, which saves a lot of time in joining meetings where you don't have to dial a number and enter in a meeting code. Anyone who joins a lot of meetings I'm sure has had problems with entering in wrong numbers for either the phone number or the conference code which is a huge waste of time. What do you dislike? I am most disappointed with Zoom's initial response on the security vulnerability with Macs (see ...

Easy to use video conferencing software
What do you like best? I like that Zoom is easy to use and that it is web based also. The setup is straightforward and easy to understand. What do you dislike? I'm not a fan of the free account limitations vs the paid account. You can mostly do what you need to with a free account, which is ok for a smaller business. A larger business would likely need a paid account to access more features of the software. Recommendations to others considering the product: Is the free version going ...

Zoom in a higher education setting
What do you like best? The ease with which you can invite others to join your chat. Having a link to send makes it much easier because others who are outside of the organization can easily join the conversation. What do you dislike? There are sometimes issues with connection, it can be related to the link or the sound/video which usually takes some time to figure out. It’s also not the clearest image. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized? ...

Zoom rocks
What do you like best? I have finally started using Zoom for work meetings. It's been very easy to use and extremely convenient for me now that I don't have to physically attend meetings. I do have to confess that third is the first video conference software I have ever used; however, I have not experienced any gliches or buffering as are some typical problems with video conferencing software. What do you dislike? Nothing yet but I have only used it 3 times. Recommendations to others ...

A very convenient meeting program
What do you like best? There are some pros and cons to Zoom. If you are someone who is looking to save some money, this software may not be for you. Once you get your video call up and running, Zoom is sufficient as a video conference call platform. What do you dislike? I would like to be able to set up the meeting for myself, The biggest con I have for this software is you have to have an account to set up a meeting, The UX on Zoom is poorly designed compared to other video-conference ...
