Spotsaas Editor’s POV

Zenfolio's support team responds quickly to tickets and provides step-by-step troubleshooting. Before purchasing, confirm that your hosting plan includes priority support if response time is critical to your workflow—standard plans may see longer wait times during peak periods. The template library covers standard photography portfolios, but customization is ...Read more

Really wish I'd read these reviews…

Really wish I'd read these reviews before purchasing. The free trial went well and it appears to offer everything the photographer needs. However... I have messaged the help desk to inform them with an issue regarding blog posts. There is a "Title" and "Subtitle" text appearing at the top of each single text block. This is not there in the editing page so I can't delete it or change it. This hasn't been present on my first 7 posts, but is now. I have duplicated an old post and not this ...

Been with them a few months and giving…

Been with them a few months and giving up now. The templates are limited in what they offer and poor in functionality. You add shortcuts that don't work, template blocks that just don't do what they are supposed to do, you can't create a simple nested menu option with the first option HAVING to be a page, when live websites fail to load, load slow, don't load CSS have to be constantly refreshed..the list is endless. I give up...also if you're in the UK and use the online support, there in ...

Very unhappy with changes

Very unhappy with their latest 'updates' archiving photos which then take a long time to load back up again and charging for digital downloads even when I want to give them to clients for free. Their 'archiving' means that I can no longer use my zen site to properly showcase my work, and it's probably just cost me a big job. It costs a lot in both time and money, but I'll be looking for an alternative.

Zenfolio does NOT condemn revenge porn posted on their client's site

I'm extremely disappointed in Zenfolio that a customer of theirs isn't going to even receive a slap on the wrist for stealing my photo and trying to sell it as his and then when the theft was discovered, as revenge, the customer posted a pornographic photo of me on his Zenfolio hosted website. Revenge porn is illegal! What it tells me is Zenfolio does not care about the victimization of women. Shame on you!!

Avoid Zenfolio like the plague

Avoid Zenfolio like the plague. There is a reason they have turned off reviews on Facebook and Google. Do yourself a favour and just use something else like Pixieset. I've tried countless times to inform Zenfolio of their issues (there are a lot of them!) even writing detailed guides on how bad their customer user experience is and its all been ignored.

Terribly slow uploading images

Terribly slow uploading images. Can only upload a minimal amount. Which at times may take as long as an hour to load! They say it's my wifi. No it isn't because the university I've worked as university photographer for 28 years uses Smug Mug and the difference is no comparison. Another huge problem is trying to move images around in the edit. Select image(s) and begin to drag to the space I want and the page begins to scroll down on its own! It's impossible to move images without a fight! ...
